Why does Liar have so many stans? Like, I think it's a great song but I just don't see what makes it so special to so many people

She's got an attitude on the track she hasn't shown since Stronger, its catchy and badass and people probably also see it as a response in some ways to CMAR so...

Of course my vote goes to LMD but whatever at this point anything is better than radio silence.

Liar is just an ok song that sounds dated like a mash up of Womanizer, Lonely and Kesha's Timber. ALL DATED SONGS!! It is a horrible choice and I think it will kill the era! People saying they picked it just because of it shows attitude doesn't mean it's a good song or will be a hit! Womanizer had attitude but was a great song! Britney needs a catchy hooky up tempo for single #2 after the mid tempo MM. PLEASE let it be LOVE ME DOWN!!!! followed by Slumber Party for #3 and then DYWCO? for #4. If they were going to release one of the deluxe only tracks as a single which is rare, before Liar I would literally pick any of them above Liar! I just can't believe people actually like Liar better than BETTER, CHANGE YOUR MIND, AND IF I'M SLAYING?!?!! If Liar gets chosen it really will be the new Criminal! I JUST CAN'T with this fan base some times! End Rant..

I could totally believe that but then there's very little excuse for how long it's taking them to release single #2. Let's hope so and hope that they haven't picked Liar! Before the fans got their hands on this poll in the beginning of it's first day when mostly just the general public had voted, Slumber party had like 20% and Love Me Down had like 16% and Liar had only 2%, not even as much as Better, Change your mind or DYWCO?. It's so obvious that flop fans and other fanbases ruin and sabotage these polls. It really is a lot like Criminal.

That's fair. I will note someone has already pointed out that this length of time between singles is standard for Team Britney. 

 

I just find it funny that so many fans were saying sales and chart positions and hits don't matter and we should just be happy with the music - and now they're freaking out about Liar being a single because it *might* flop - if it's even the next single!

Oh I'm not one of those fans at all! LOL I care about the charts and I want her songs and albums to do well! Not because I care about bragging rights or certifications or anything but because:

 

1. I want her to continue to receive healthy A&R budgets for her albums so she can keep delivering the far above average quality and production her albums are known for and have always been and..

 

2. so that younger fans continue to discover her and get on the Britney train so the good gospel of Godney can continue to spread and have a healthy following and..

 

3. because in that recent interview for radio they asked her if she cared about the albums and singles chart and sales performance and she said that she definitely did care and always has and relies on her managers to let her know how things are doing so she can follow it. 

 

Other than that I just want HOT videos and good Choreo to really show off the 2nd coming of Primeney we have all been experiencing for the past year or so!

SAME. I really like Glory and would continue to feel the same even if this era turns out to be a complete flop. THAT BEING SAID - I also look at chart positions and sales because this is her career after all and I want her to be successful in it.
