Why Glory ain't so Glorious

OMG I happy some people know how to give their opinion (without sounding like a big bag of hormones, ignorance and blindness). This post is simply my opinion that overall I think the single choices havent been grade A and considering Britney did an interview where she said she wanted the album to do well, it did for a short while. I want her to be recognized as not just a pop princess, but as an artist who is involved with her music in some way. 

 

Again, Glory is a step in the greatest direction she could have ever made, but some choices in my opinion in terms of singles were misses. And seeing Britney perform them, to me it looks like she isnt all that enthusiatic either. Again, just my opinion but thank you to the ones who responded back like mature, thinking adults.

Ya i mightve overlistened to Glory because im back to listening to All American Rejects, Queen and 1989.

 

i will say that i play Make Me more...it kinda suddenly became interesting and timeless probably because of the guitar... Its sexy and slow

You see, dear, we had a great start that just didnt go the way we both thought it would go. Now, instead of having a bitchfest over who can spell better or if country pop is country or if Lady Gaga named her album after her grandmother, lets agree to disagree. I think two strong minded people are able to do that, right?

I enjoy glory still everyday, I don't care where it is on charts and how her singles do. I care that Britney gave us a very solid album and her performances and promotion are steadily improving. The only single vibe I get from her is that she REALLY likes dywco. Make me was a good choice but the video drama ruined it, slumber party was strictly for the fans. I hope we get a third single and I hope its dywco, since that's clearly one of her favorites.

 

I totally agree with this, and although it wouldn't be my first choice for 3rd single (love me down) I'd totally be on board for it! I think she does really like dywco, and she's said her boys love it so I'm inclined think she does as well. Plus the video would just be AMAZING, wouldn't it?

I haven't listened to MM in a few weeks and decided to play it in my car on the way to work last week - it sounds super fresh again and incredibly sexy.

Glory had a messy start and it never quite recovered.

 

We could go on and on about single choices, performances, the incompetence of team Britney...ect. At the end of the day Glory was a step in the right direction. Not a slam dunk, but a vast improvement from BJ.

 

I appreciate Glory for what it is: an array of fun songs, crafted and selected by the one and only Britney Spears.

 

I don't exepect massive success from any future singles from Glory. Personally I'm already anticipating a possible 10th album from Britney, and what that could entail if she keeps moving in the positive direction that we got a glimpse of in Glory.

 

Hopefully B10 will return Britney to her trendsetting glory
