The "Private Show" fragrance should have been "Invitation"

Why?

1) Invitation is a great song. It has better vocals. It's beautiful. It may not be suitable for a chart-topping single but it's one of the best tracks on Glory so featuring it in an ad would be smart. It's sexy and melodic and airy and dreamy and heavenly. It would make people want to buy her perfume AND her album.

 

2) Private Show was named as one of the top 5 worst songs of 2016 by EW this week, and they usually love Britney. They said Glory has some of Britney's best vocals, EXCEPT for PS. It's a weird song that makes her seem crazy, and the lyrics are trash. This is one of the earliest impressions people got of Glory and it wasn't a good one. 

 

3) Invitation is a great name for a fragrance! Sexy. Seductive. Perfect. So many ideas for what the commercial could be. 

 

It's not too late, she can use it for a summer fragrance in 2017!

I actually like private show as a song and a fragrance. She played with her voice in a way she hadn't before and most of it worked, the chorus could've used a redo.

I love PS. It's a bop and I don't get all the hate.  And she brings out a new fragrance every week so there's still a chance for an Invitation one (although we'll probably get Slumber Party Fantasy).

I love Private Show and I don't get all the hate it gets, but Invitation does sound like a perfume commercial song because it's more soft and elegant. Either way, I have to give a controversial opinion and say that the vocals on Private Show are better than on Invitation. The way they are edited on the chorus and the bridge is kinda weird, like, there's too much echo effect and I don't know, I still think that it's a great album opening but it's one of the weakest tracks of Glory, sorry

Delete annoying layered vocals, lots of auto-tune and then yes.

Invitation is good as an intro track and it could have worked for the commercial if there was more of a narrative to it, like the curious commercial way back when. Private Show is fun and I think that's what she wanted people to take away more than anything.

 

Also who cares what EW thinks of the song? It's not like she was trying to impress them or anything. PS is definitely one of the songs on the album that is basically for fans only.

Private Show is just bad on so many levels...
