But is it counting Influence or how well known they are? I'm just asking because it seems like the way they did it was by counting hits and links on wikipedia.

I mean, I'm not trying to argue, but I would think that someone like, idk, Rosa Parks would have more influence than Madonna for helping to spark the civil rights movement which kinda changed the course of history. I just find that a lot of the list is made up of important celebrities from the last 20-30 years. I'm just wondering if their prominence in the internet era made them place higher than say Helen Keller, Marie Curie or even Audrey Hepburn and Judy Garland. Obviously the Queens and The Virgin Mary are still really actively sought out on the internet today (students doing history projects on the royal family, and religious searches and such). Don't get me wrong, I think Britney obviously has a huge influence on the world, but I'm just wondering if this list is really credible for ALL of history like it claims to be, or just for 2014.
