A stripped-down version of her vocals was leaked, and it's seriously impressive.

 

 

 

 

Thanks to a heavy reliance on lip-syncing and Auto-Tune, pop stars of the '90s often don't get very much credit for their vocal prowess. But please check yourself when it comes to Britney (read: Godney) Spears, because she can sing—and sing well.

 

 

The stripped-down vocals from "Toxic" (a *heavily* Auto-Tuned song) were just released, and while, sure—it's not Whitney Houston-level stuff–The Princess of Pop can definitely hold her own, and her vocals are pretty close to those of the actual song.

Though it's made from the sessions that leaked a while ago, the vocals are raw but the full song wasn't recorded in one take so that song is cut and joined together. Still really close to a completely unedited song.

I can tell where the auto tune was supposed to be, I feel like she sung that way for the song to be mixed. Just like womanizer
