The Original Doll Sessions!

Because Michelle Bell keeps on fucking leaking The Original Doll tracks (God BLESS her), I'm trying to find a full list of Original Doll scrapped tracks.

 

Some of you are certain that every Original Doll demo or unreleased song is from In the Zone. Some might be but many could very well be from OD. Here's why I think this:

 

 

In 2003, Michelle Bell worked with Bloodshy & Avant for Britney's In the Zone. We know that there are a shit-load of ITZ scrapped tracks, like "Get It", but tracks like "Guilty" and "Take Off" are confused with these sessions.

 

In 2003-2004 during Britney's Hotel tour, she stated she was working on tracks for her new album. This is backed up by the fact Britney herself said she recorded the KIIS version of "Mona Lisa" after a show, and said it would be included on her Original Doll album that was "nearly half done". Because of the close timing of In the Zone sessions and the tour/Original Doll sessions, sometimes it's hard to decipher which tracks are in which era. (Also, some kind of sound different.)

 

After The Original Doll was scrapped, Britney started work on Blackout in 2006. Because of the dark tone of Blackout and the possible overlapping sessions, some of the scrapped tracks are confused with the OD sessions. (Like for example, we know "Dramatic" is somewhat likely a BL track, but it is very possible it was recorded during the OD sessions. However, we aren't completely sure about tracks like "Who Can She Trust".)

 

I don't know for sure which tracks are which, but I'm relying on the themes of the songs and also Michelle's Tumblr.
 

 

Here's a timeline to show how tricky figuring out what tracks were recorded when...

Post-Britney 2002–2003: In the Zone Sessions

2003–2004

• 2003–Mid 2004: Onyx Hotel Tour Sessions (for Original Doll)
• Post-"Outrageous"/Broken leg 2004: Many tracks were written/recorded for OD

Late 2004–2005: Original Doll Sessions

Mid 2006–2007: Blackout Sessions

Anyway, this is the list of all the Original Doll tracks. Many are leaked at least partially and most are confirmed by Michelle Bell. Feel free to leave information so I can update this!

 

LEAKED, CONFIRMED ORIGINAL DOLL TRACKS!

 

• Take Off - Leaked May 2017 & confirmed by Michelle Bell. (FINALLY!)
• Guilty - Leaked February 2015. Quentin Harris remixes leaked in late 2004. Samples "Kiss" by Prince.
• Conscience (Conscious) - Leaked 23 January 2015 by Michelle Bell. NOT an ITZ demo.
• Welcome to Me - Full track leaked 9 May 2014.  Snippet leaked October 2011, known as "Love". NOT a BL demo.
• Ouch - Leaked 11 April 2012. Several snippets leaked 9 April 2012. 
• Money, Love & Happiness - Leaked March 2012 & confirmed by Michelle Bell. Snippets leaked weeks earlier. (Super badass.)
• Peep Show - Snippets leaked 21 Feb 2012 & confirmed by Michelle Bell. Could be ITZ but would've been a nice OD interlude.
• Look Who's Talking - Leaked 9 January 2012. Recorded by Korean singer BoA for her debut English CD.
• Mona Lisa - KIIS Version - Leaked 31 December 2004 by Britney herself on KIIS-FM 102.7. Unmastered demo.
  Mona Lisa - Chaotic Version - Re-recorded and re-mastered for the Chaotic EP. (I like this better than the demo.)
• Someday (I Will Understand) - Written & recorded a few weeks before Britney found out she was pregnant. Released on the EP. (Some sourced claim "Someday" was recorded AFTER The Original Doll was scrapped, but I doubt it.)
• Chaotic - Theme song of the Britney & Kevin: Chaotic show. Released on the EP. (Could've been a part of the ITZ sessions but I'm including all the songs from the EP, as it's the closest to the OD album we have.)
• Over to You Now - Released as a bonus track of the Chaotic EP. (Could've been a part of the ITZ sessions but I'm including all the songs from the EP, as it's the closest to the OD album we have.)

 

UNLEAKED, CONFIRMED ORIGINAL DOLL TRACKS

 

• Like I'm Fallin' - Confirmed on ASCAP. Yet to leak. (Snippet "leaked" is fake.)
• Who Can She Trust - Confirmed in 2006. Nothing is known about the track beside an excerpt of lyrics.

 

POSSIBLE ORIGINAL DOLL TRACKS

 

• Strangest Love - Leaked 25 December 2011 (Britmas). Possible ITZ, OD, or FF track (mess).
• Dramatic - Duet with Heidi Montag leaked in 2008; main version leaked in April 2010. Both Britney's and Heidi's managers deny knowledge of the recording. (I'm fairly certain this is an OD track but many sources claim it's a BL track.)
• Baby Boy - Leaked 23 August 2007. Likely a BL track, leaked around the time of other BL  tracks.
• Rebellion - Snippet leaked by BritneySpears.com 20 June 2006. Full track confirmed by Michelle Bell. Possible  OD or BL track. (Because the snippet was leaked around the time other BL shit was leaking, it's probably an early Blackout recording, but really fits the Original Doll vibe)
• Disguise My Love - Confirmed by Michelle Bell as a possible ITZ track.
• It Feels Nice ???

Mona Lisa is the only song we know for definite that she recorded for the album - we don't even know if she actually did record any other songs. The reason why it is so difficult to pinpoint an era to which a certain track belongs to is because Original Doll started BEFORE the ITZ era, continued AFTER it and then got scrapped completely by Blackout. Michelle herself confirmed this.

 

More than anything, OD is a concept; the concept of an album completely produced by Britney - which is exactly what Blackout is. So, in a way, Blackout is the upgraded version of OD.

 

Tracks like Take Off, Do Somethin', Over To You Now, Rebellion, LWTN and MLH were all meant for OD, later scrapped or reworked for later release.

This is the first time I've ever heard this so I completely doubt it. Original Doll was quite honestly nothing more than the super early stages of Blackout.

This! Brit's team told her to basically fuck off and then she went around and leaked "Money, Love & Happiness" in full. But that was a few years ago. She leaked "Take Off" in full a few weeks ago so she could very well get handed a lawsuit.
