I seriously think it was her best lead single since Gimme More.

Womanizer was cute but I found it to be overly repetitive and kind of... Lacking something if that makes sense. I don't know. I feel like it went to #1 because there was so much hype around her at the time. Circus (the song and video) completely blew Womanizer out of the water.

Hold It Against Me was super hot at the time, I still love it, the breakdown is awesome, the production is on point but I still like Make Me better.

Many fans love Work Bitch and it's definitely become a signature song for her but I've never liked it to be honest... I think it did as well as it did because of the hype coming off of a super successful era like Femme Fatale. HIAM #1, TTWE a flawless smash hit, I Wanna Go being extremely successful with longevity, Scream & Shout dominating down the line... I think the momentum of those hits catapulted Work Bitch to get a decent peak on Billboard, but I do feel like Work Bitch ultimately contributed to her downfall with mainstream success.

But Make Me? Oh my God. What an original, sexy, Britney prime-esque song. So sultry, so moody, subtle sexiness. It deserved so much more. Unfortunately the video kind of killed it's chances of becoming what it could have become. I loved the leaked scenes from the original video, but I do think the production was kind of too big and the video was overly-sexualized when it didn't need to be... The single cover of her in the desert in the skimpy white attire captured the mood of the song so flawlessly. They could have went in that direction with the original video. The video that did ultimately end up coming out though, wow, was that a disaster or what. The song kind of got screwed. But it's one of my all-time favorite Brit songs for sure. I feel like it is super underrated.

You're so right!

Make Me is so underrated, it literally flopped just because of the video, that didn't match the fans expectations.

After the disaster of Britney Jean... And what I deemed the horrificness of "Work Bitch"... I did NOT expect her to drop such a flawless track like Make Me. I almost cried when I first heard it. And her vocals, wow, oh my God. It's like prime Britney on a track.

And her cover of Tom's Diner too... Wow. Make Me and Tom's Diner to me are like precious hidden gems after  the disaster of Britney Jean.

Femme Fatale was an incredible party album too, and I still listen to it to this day, but Make Me and Tom's Diner remind me of like "the artist" Britney and not the pop star. So they will always be special tracks to me that deserved so much more!

The single cover was photographed by the same director of the scrapped Make Me video: David LaChapelle. That photo was to be a part of the album's (scrapped as well) booklet.

YESSSS! TOM'S DINER IS SO SO SOOOOO UNDERRATED!

It's unfortunate that some fans don't even know the existence of this song.

It probably wouldn't have done well as a single because it's a cover but the selfish Britney fan in me wanted her to release a video for it anyway. And ultimately put it in her  show. Ugh, the production is just too good. And the video would have been fucking amazing and dark. To me it sounds like it could have been a Blackout bonus track.
