THIS is what I was waiting to see! If he would have worked with her more on this it would have been SO much better than that chair. Which, he recently did an AMA on exhale and stated that it was HIS idea for that chair breakdown 🙄

The first time I saw her perform this, I remember being pumped af for the breakdown. Then the chair happened. Worst “breakdown” ever.

And everyone blamed her and being "lazy" and "a mom now" thanks to BRIAN! Who finally, now, almost 10 years later, admits it was HIS idea.

This is def. better, I wonder what made him switch it to the chair, I can’t remember if he addressed why in that AMA but it’s most certainly fucked up Brit got blamed for it!!

Yup and didn't bother to say anything until almost 10 years later! I don't think he did, but he alluded to HIAM changes happening because the choreography was just SO hard and SO complex and it was the hardest routine those dancers ever did in their whole lives!!!! 🙄

Now, I can’t dance for shit, lol, but that doesn’t look hard to me, now Slave, that looks difficult.

I agree! I think HIAM was probably a difficult song to choreograph because of the dubstep, and his routine was just too spastic and hectic, nothing about it flowed well or looked great with Britney's style the way Slave did. Brian was a good choreographer back in the day but his style has changed and it doesn't mesh with Britney's anymore.

I honestly don’t hate this choreo at all. I see Exhale is railing on it, but what else is new. I think there were a number of factors for why this whole ... thing didn’t work and it’s not just the choreo. That being said, I also don’t think the FF era was as terrible as many fans think, especially when I revisit the videos and performances. TTWE should’ve been nominated for (AND WON) a Grammy, FF was a more cohesive album than Circus, and HIAM was one of her top 5 MVs. I think the choreo worked. But I did like that Brian said he wished he would’ve kept his mouth shut during that era. Sounds like he realized he fucked up, and he did. Her business was not his to tell.

Fans love to look at the past with rose colored glasses! It amazes me how much Circus is praised now, when back then she was getting torn to shreds for EVERYTHING about it. I've even seen people saying now that she danced better during Femme Fatale than she did during Vegas and I had to fucking laugh. Yeah, FF didn't have terrible dancing (I think it was better than Circus) but neither Circus nor FF hold a candle to how she danced, on her worst day, during POM. I was glad he admitted he should have kept his mouth shut too, and I wouldn't be surprised if that was part of the reason why she didn't ask him to choreograph the tour.

Ok, anyone who thinks FF’s dancing was better than POM needs mentally checked. 😂 Even in the beginning of POM when she could be stiff at times, she still danced better and seemed to enjoy it more than FF. That’s my biggest issue with the FF era - she just seemed so unhappy at times.

I wasn’t an active part of the hardcore fan base during the Circus era (I was in college and very ... distracted 😬😂), but I remember generally liking the costumes and performances, I didn’t find anything super bad about it. But I’m not surprised people were downing it so hard - nothing seems to satisfy people and they act like she’s still 17 years old. 🙄

I know, the flip flopping is comical, lol, the dancing in POM was tons better than Circus and FF, I also feel like her personality shined more during POM too.

The constant comparing her to her early days is really getting old cuz they do it for EVERYTHING, even her fucking facial features, it’s like, get a life, lol

For me as someone from the younger generations of her fans it's amusing, but at the same time I understand the nostalgia hungriness of people, it's just human nature to look back in the old times as something that was perfect with no negative sides at all. We have a saying in my country, it translates as "time gilds memories". But I've accepted the fact that even if Britney tried her absolute best she couldn't match herself in her prime, she's almost 40 now which means she can't be as flexible on stage as she was in her teens and 20's.

As for her facial features, all I'm gonna say is that I think she never needed to go under the surgical knife, she was perfect for me the way she looked naturally. Same for when she got her breast size enhanced (I know that she got the implants removed later though). But I understand how she must have been under massive pressure seeing her looks being constantly analyzed publicly.

I totally get feeling nostalgic esp. since I got to live her prime first hand, but like you I accept that she’s older and she’s not gonna perform or look like she did then, it seems like a lot fans don’t want to accept that and drag her over it, those are the fans I have a problem with.

I don’t think she needed any work done either but at the end of the day it’s her body and her choice, so I accept that, she’s still beautiful despite whatever work she got done. I think it’s rude when fans post pics comparing her lips, her nose, her eyes, her teeth, trying to analyze what’s she’s done, nitpicking everything to death. Not to mention, the fans who once said she needed work done, who now complain about the work she got done. I wanna scream every time I see a fan leave a comment on her social saying she shouldn’t have done this or that or that she needs to change her make up or wash her hair, like fuck off, let the woman be!! After awhile it just gets to be too much.
