Volinez told the Daily News through email that although many people find the video hilarious, it is not just in good fun. His main aim was to make a statement about the human body & what it means to be a pop star. "I am an artist, my medium is video, and in my line of work I examine and re-examine the human body and its politics," he said. "For me it is important to re-examine social taboos — what does it mean to be an accepted 'pop star,' and what is the correct look? What is the correct demeanor?" When it came to filming, he imitated Britney's dance moves while watching the video on a nearby laptop which was quite easy but it took him a lot of work to re-edit himself over Britney. This is the second video Volinez has done that includes the Las Vegas singer. His video in April titled "Love U Brit" showed two images of Spears shaking their heads back and forth at each other. However, he confesses that he isn't the biggest Britney fan as many people think. "I'm not a big fan. But, I find the corporation called Britney Spears fascinating," he said. She's limited by her management and is pretty much a cash cow/viewer grabber. Britney is capable of so many things, but either she doesnt want to do them anymore or her handlers wont let her. Overall it's still bringing money in for the Britney Spears brand, but no credibility for her artistry.
