so 2000 sent electricity into the industry...like how did that sexy ass girl from BOMT just up the standards of sexy and dick tease the world in a single performance...? Her transition from BOMT to OIDIA is essential and epic as fuck.

and 2001 was like what the fuck is she gonna do...then she fuckin killed it, fuckin blew all other performances to dust and made everyone else irrelevant, and brought another wave of controversy. Plus, that body was built like a motherfuckin brick shithouse...she could break your dick by just lookin at ya w that fierce attitude

I dont get why people say one is more iconic because both are like hall of fame material and iconic as fuck...after 2001 Britney coulda retired for life and still be a legend and game changer.

I vote 2000, only cuz I hav2...based on the emotion of the whole situation when it first aired, and how shocked and unprepared my fucking brain and everyone elses was. Sexy got taken from holy shit shes sexy, to a whole New Level baybee. People were desperately trying to hate it cuz they got their first taste of bicurious wetness, and the world would forever want a piece

I also see the nude suit as an inspiration to take it further w Toxic, and her stamp on the world was set in stone.

I dont like to say one is better though...but if I must vote, I gotta go 2000...lives were changed and VMAs became her battlefield where she proved her entertainment skills to the world. Many more people took her more seriously after that performance, and it lingers in anyones mind. I guarantee Madonna came in her granny panties when she saw that

2001 was sexy as fuck, but 2000 was more of a wow performance, nobody expected something like that. :crying1:

Yes, she was labelled as teeny bopper sexy little school girl next door...but then the Oops era and that performance took things farther and she became blasted into new dimensions of fame. She lost so many young fans as many concerned parents banned Britney but she gained so many more diverse fans after that, and later the young fans would come back for more cuz we all wanna piece of Britney.

Her first major sign of growth and that she was something to be taken seriously. 100 Miley VMA's could never

Want a reason as to why Britney is often considered the love child of Madonna & Janet or the undisputed Princess of Pop?  Look no further then her 2000 VMA performance.  The undeniable showstopper of the night both her body and the choreography (along with that flawless hairography)  were on point.  That final dance break with her on the floor is still epic.  The latest crop of Disney/teen stars could never, I mean for example Miley's performance being compared to The Strip Tease?  There's a major difference between trying and being.  We all know who falls in what category.   :smokney:
