Some of her inventions include gay rights, frappunccinos etc. Let me start... Britney Spears invented viral videos in 2007 when she asked her good friend, Chris Crocker, to make a YouTube video to convince the paparazzi to give her some space. She scripted the video (titled Leave Britney Alone) for Crocker to perform and the heartfelt tone of her screenwriting touched the viewers of YouTube. The video spread like wildfire, gaining millions of views in a matter of days, and is now the most viewed video on YouTube. In 1998, Spears wrote a database for software applications called Compact Disc Database (CDDB). This allows computers to be able to determine the artist, album title, and track titles of a CD. In 2005, Spears invented hair extensions so that performers could dramatically change their look in much less time. So in 2011, she had the idea to hold events that she called “meet & greetsâ€. She requested for fans to come backstage at each of her shows during her Femme Fatale tour so she could meet them and, naturally, many fans were ecstatic to oblige her request. The fans were able to have conversations with Spears before the concert and take pictures with her. This became a trend among entertainers and was adopted as part of normal touring for performers such as Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Katy Perry. She started a chewing gum company called Brinty Fresh but she found it difficult to make time for her new business while working on her debut album …Baby One More Time. Wrigley made an offer to Spears to buy the rights to chewing gum and Spears agreed (1999). The original flavor of chewing gum was named Spearmint by Wrigley as a nod to Spears for her invention. Britney Spears was also acknowledged for her chewing gum invention by the music industry when they nicknamed the new wave of teen-friendly pop music of the late 1990’s/early 2000’s “bubble gum popâ€. Christmas had been overtaken by consumerism at the time and the true spirit of Christmas seemed lost. That is why Spears released a song titled My Only Wish (This Year). Spears rejects the notion of consumer gift-giving in her track and simply asks to be surrounded by her loved ones during the holiday season: a recall to the traditional celebration of Christmas. Other celebrities followed Spears and recorded Christmas-themed songs that exalted human relations, including Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, and Jessica Simpson. Britney saw a lot of potential in the Caribbean singer’s music career and knew that the only way she could achieve global success was if she knew English. Spears’ faith was validated when Rihanna released an English-language song, titled SOS, one year after the release of Pon De Replay and it became her first #1 single on the Hot 100 chart. She did so through an organization she founded in 2003, Trees For the Americas, and successfully nurtured the world’s greatest habitat into being. The Amazon now has the greatest plant biodiversity on Earth (40,000 plant species) and is home to 2.5 million insect species, 2,200 fish species, 1,294 bird species, 427 mammal species, 428 amphibian species, and 378 reptile species. Thanks to the Amazon, we are able to maintain healthy levels of oxygen in our air through the amazonian plants that convert carbon dioxide into oxygen. She debuted her designs when she competed in the 2004 Los Angeles Interior Innovation Tournament and showcased her invention of “shabby chicâ€. Shabby Chic combines the idea of feminine southern charm and decay. It incorporates white-tones, floral prints, and peeling painted woods.
