describe when/how you became a fan

for me i've always been interested in her i saw circus, i liked her but wasn't obsessed like i am now, it REALLY started after i saw the femme fatale tour on july 22 i had $25 seats bc i wasn't that big of a fan, i just wanted to go to a concert but after it was over i became obsessed with her. in the beginning of my fan life i was mostly obsessed and interested in primeney, i eventually became obsessed with all of britney, and obsess over primeney less because it makes me sad that she's not the same anymore. so even though i've been obsessed since 2011 i guess you can say this is my first real era as a fan, by the time i was obsessed the ff era was almost over. so bj era was my first time experiencing the rumors, the lack of promo, and the evolution of the album, the vegas show, etc

I am a fan since 99 but I became a stan when I was watching MTV...the Me Against The Music video came out and I LOOOOOVED the song (seriously I became obsessed with that song) and I was astonished by the choreography...I remember I saw the video and thought for myself: I wanna dance like her!!

I'm a stan since 99 even though I was only seven   I was obsessed with baby one more time video, I wanted so badly to record it on my VHS I was waiting all day to catch it on tv. I was growing with Britney music, she's a big part of my life actually. Sad is I've seen her live only once during FFT

I've been a fan since BOMT and the ripe age of 7. I was obsessed with her throughout the BOMT-Britney eras. I knew some songs from ITZ (ie. MATM, Toxic, and Everytime), but I stopped being as obsessed with her in this era. I think it was a mix of getting to that age where I was too cool for pop music, but also my mother thought she was getting too risque and wasn't willing to buy the albums for me anymore. 

 

From ITZ on I was a casual fan - I only really knew the singles from her albums. Then I got back from school this year and was feeling nostalgic and decided to read up on Brit and here we are. I've spent the last two months catching up on everything I missed in her career.

I'm a fan since I've first heard her album Circus. I know it's not very long, but that album hit me hard and I instantly became very interested in her. I bought it without even really paying attention to her before and I immediately became fan. Circus still has a special place in my heart, brings back so many memories and I really love it!

Well, like most of these people above, I was very interested in her and I listened to her music all my life, even though I was never a big fan (I am 16). In 2007 - 2008 I started listening to her more and I LOVED Circus when it came out (my favorite album)!

Then, in 2011 my cousin helped me become a Stan and later that year I made my first account on Exhale. I was gonna go to the tour, but I couldn't

So basically, I always liked her and loved her music, but I never turned into a huge fan until Femme Fatale.

I grew up always listening to the songs of Britney. My sister was a fan and was always listening to her CDs and try to recreate the choreography like Slave, MATM, the hook up, etc.

One day she brought Blackout borrowed from a friend of her, I became a fan when I was 12  â€‹â€‹when Circus came out and remember that I was with my sister listening to the CD when it started playing Out From Under and don't know how or why but when I heard I felt a strong connection with the song.

 

Since that day I join Britney Army.

i was at the virgin megastore and i saw her first CD at one of those listening stations so i listened to the first song off the CD which was baby one more time. i thought i had heard it before and my mom bought the CD for me

 

the next day at school i was asking all my friends if they knew who britney spears was and everyone was like ? no who's that, like one girl kindof knew who she was

ive been obsessed with her ever since. im shocked since i was like 9 when BOMT came out that my parents allowed me to listen to her and worship her since her ~risque~ image was so controversial. i remember when oops came out my mom bought it the day it came out for me. i remember buying britney at target when it came out!

Really day one when I first saw BOMT...like I remember kinda laughing at it right before the song started, but I couldnt keep my eyes off of her. My sis bought me the cd the first wk cuz I would not shut up about how I wanted to marry Britney and other obsessive stuff. After that It all snowballed and grew.

 

I always say I developed a Britney crush w BOMT but then OIDIA just took my heart out of my chest and owned my fanboy soul for life...around that time I realized I cared more than I probably should, but I just rolled w it, no shame. The rest of it was like a dream within a dream...a really amazing dream (mostly).

I remeber when i was a little kid being obsessed with Overprotected, i LOVED LOVED LOVED the video and the song  

I also remeber watching her video ''Piece Of Me''  on TV with my familiy in 2007, when i was 10 or 11. I LOVED the video. 

When Circus was released i began searching her more up and listening to more of her songs. But i did not became a stan before FF was released and watching HIAM on youtube

I've been a fan for as long as I can remember. My mom has videos of me singing and dancing to BOMT as a little baby and one of my first memories is going to Walmart to buy Oops! when it was the "new Britney CD" lol. I used to have BOMT on cassette tape too.

I've been a fan since BOMT. I was 5 years old, and I remember trying to copy the choreography everytime it came on MTV. Same with OIDIA.

 

I remember jamming to Blackout at 13 while being so scared for her life, then bowing so low when I was 14 when she came out with Circus. Everyone in my school did. We did a lot of Circus-themed things because of her -- our prom, a cheer routine, a class production, etc.

 

But I became a stan just recently, particularly when BJ was still in the works. I finally gave in and subscribed to ONTD and there was always news about Britney posted there at the time. I was so curious to see what she was working on, and I started checking for her daily. Next thing I know, I was stanning for her.
