ValetGirls Posted June 25, 2014 #26 Report Posted June 25, 2014 Very interesting. I actually really like this pairing thank you dahling. I've always thought dat way. Blackout/FF playlists are seemless, it's just that one's a bit glossier than the other. 1
ItsNathanbitch Posted June 25, 2014 #27 Report Posted June 25, 2014 I however am flawless I wouldn't doubt it Yes, there are several people who see the improvement (thank God) You're not alone not alone not alone They were using this picture They said that she looked old, like a drug addict, etc. And I'm just like SHE LEGIT LOOKS LIKE A BARBIE DOLL IN THAT PICTURE In your world of imagination perhaps Ikr? Oh my god, were they serious? Then the FF era came along and they started praising the Circus era 1
IfYouCantTakeItThenGetBack Posted June 25, 2014 Author #28 Report Posted June 25, 2014 thank you dahling. I've always thought dat way. Blackout/FF playlists are seemless, it's just that one's a bit glossier than the other. I was actually surprised that you put Blackout and FF together but I could see how they are alike. I think they both have the same type of theme except Blackout is darker while FF is much lighter and fun

If I find the thread I'll link you to it so you can see how fucking rude people were/are. It ills absolutely ridiculous
It'sBeenAWhile Posted June 25, 2014 #30 Report Posted June 25, 2014 Ooh I often think about this topic to myself tbh. 1. Blackout and Femme Fatale - These two albums are the only albums in Britney's discography that are completely cohesive and have a clear, distinct theme and feel. They may not be sonically similar (one is urban-dance and the other is electronic dance), but are very similar in the way they were constructed. Femme Fatale to me is like the "pop" Blackout. 2. In The Zone and Circus - The feel of these two albums are pretty similar i reckon. Tracks like "Blur" and "Mannequin" could easily appear on In The Zone. They're both pop albums but not like bubblegum confectionary, catchy pop. 3. Baby One More Time and Oops I Did It Again - Both are bubblegum pop, cohesive albums with no real ebbs and flows. 4. Britney Jean and Britney - Both are self titled, personal albums. To me, both sound like transitional records. Britney was the first record she branched out into her adult image, and Britney Jean was the first time she really embraced Momney and started recording slower, mid-tempo, heartfelt material. 1

Wow, I would've never thought of putting ITZ and Circus together but you are very right I was actually going to put Britney and Britney Jean together for the same reason. I also feel like they are transitional albums, moving away from what she had been doing in the past. Baby and Oops were kinda the same bubblegum/teenage pop albums and Britney changed that. Circus and Femme Fatale were very radio friendly albums made for commercial purposes and with BJ she shifted away from that 1

I agree with these pairings, and I'm glad that a lot of ppl here see how much Femme Fatale compliments Blackout so well. 1

Circus and Femme Fatale were very radio friendly albums made for commercial purposes and with BJ she shifted away from that Yes I would very much agree. "Britney" was about growing up from being a teenager into an adult, and "Britney Jean" is about growing up from being a sexual popstar into a mature, beautiful mom. Both deal with "growing up" themes IMO. With regards to ITZ and Circus, I think the Circus era tried to emulate a lot of the ITZ era. I see "Womanizer" as quite similar to Toxic (the videos, how big the songs were, even lyrically). I see "Out From Under" as similar to "Everytime" - personal tracks seemingly about Justin. I see "Blur" as a sequel to "Early Mornin" - it's like Early Morning is her first (and positive) reaction to going out and coming home late and "Blur" is like, the aftermath of all her partying. "Brave New Girl" is very similar to "Mmm Papi" in my opinion and "Unusual You" is another song that would fit right in with ITZ. So yes
IfYouCantTakeItThenGetBack Posted June 25, 2014 Author #39 Report Posted June 25, 2014 Nope. You're just too blind to see it Says you

IfYouCantTakeItThenGetBack Posted June 25, 2014 Author #42 Report Posted June 25, 2014 Yes I did say that Same old comeback Why do we do this?
ItsNathanbitch Posted June 25, 2014 #43 Report Posted June 25, 2014 Same old comeback Why do we do this? Says you I know right? Are we that sad? How did it even start?

Goten21 Posted June 25, 2014 #48 Report Posted June 25, 2014 Oops - BOMT Circus - ITZ Britney - Blackout FF - BJ (these were the only left, but I still don't think they're really a pair)
Britney M. Carey Posted June 25, 2014 #49 Report Posted June 25, 2014 Baby - Oops Britney - ITZ Blackout - FF Circus - BJ
3isacharm Posted June 25, 2014 #50 Report Posted June 25, 2014 Pair her albums based on similarity. Imo: Circus - Oops (both are very bubblegum pop, fun albums to listen to) Baby - BJ (both are not very cohesive and seems like they tried to incorporate many themes and sounds into one album) ITZ - Blackout (both are very sexy and have amazing instrumentals and Britney had creative control over them) FF - Britney (both are radio friendly albums with dance songs that kept up with the trends of their respected years) your pairings are great can't compete with that, good job
