Katy Perry went from functional Zooey Deschanel look-alike with an Alanis twang to wearing a yellow cube on her head accepting an award where Nicki Minaj looked like a ninja that lost a battle to a Toys R Us in Japan. And in all of this, Britney never caved to the weirdness arms race, stayed classy and iconic as always, and slayed the charts relentlessly. When will lessers? 1
