He's credited as executive producer because he organised the writing and recording of half the final tracklist, and about 30 other songs that didn't make it because they were too personal and involving. It was decided Britney wasn't going to promote the album, so a lot of tracks reverted back to their producers/other artists, e.g. Leah McFall's new song, Cheryl's next single."

ugh i actually thought that if britney worked with him, she would feel comfortable and would actually make hits like scream and shout and something along a circus album. but we were so wrong. i think they did create a great album, i mean 30 other songs?? thats a lot. i think it was team briteny's fault tbh. they prob didnt like the direction they took (obviously they DID make personal songs) and they forced a more generic stuff

this is a good point. i find things not rly making sense about this info. i think she actually had a really big plan for promotion of this album. i mean she started out with the promo tour over at the U.K. it didnt look like that was all she planned on doing. we were getting lots of interviews, etc. and then all of a sudden things stopped. after the chatty man, she pulled out and never showed her face again for the longest time. i think she put a stop to it all cuz she felt uncomfortable tbh. like i think she got more anxiety. but at first things were going so well.
