When people conspire that britney has lost all her passion and that she's being controlled and manipulated by everyone in her life. We'll find out that britney didnt get to do one song that she wanted and everyone will get all up in arms about how she has no control in her life, which is totally uncalled for. And everyone says that BJ had little artistic input/freedom from her, but what's making you think this? There is little to no proof.  It just sounds like some people are trying to make her life seem more oppressed and gloomy than it actually is. And don't you DARE claim she has no passion anymore (I just saw a thread about that which inspired this rant but I dont mean to single them out, their thread just happened to be the catalyst). Maybe she seemed a little passionless during the FF era but now she seems energetic and hard-working. Just because she doesnt dance as swift and sharp as she did 16 years and 2 kids ago doesnt mean she hasnt put her heart in it. The conservatorship of course in still in place but is very loose and pretty much only exists right now to keep vegas in place (remember that weird thing where she cant perform in vegas without the c-ship).

Yall need to stop. Thank you :displeased:

people like to talk about things they know absolutely nothing about. they also like to believe their opinion is the only right one and everyone who disagrees with them is "delusional." fact is britney jean was a very personal and involved album from britney, fact is britney is loving the balance she has between work and her personal life, and fact is britney is happier now than she's been in recent years. the evidence of all of this is clear as day, whether someone was to warp reality to fit their fucked up conspiracies is another story.

If she was still passionate, she would actually care about her career, which is not really the case anymore (she would also make the effort for the fans to sing live during the ballads, or at least record some new vocals and not singing over her 15 years old vocals :orangu: but that's just an example). She also would do promo and all these stuff. She even said it herself she has nothing to prove now so it's pretty clear she doesn't really care anymore and she does it "for fun". It seems more like it's a hobby nowadays and that's it. Don't get me wrong, i'm not complaining at all, and i'm fine with this after all she's been through, but you can't say she's passionate. She enjoys her time in Vegas that's for sure, you can see she's happy, but that's it. Look at other artist like Beyonce (even if i don't like her) , J-lo, Britney in her prime for the best example, and you'll see what passion is.

And about BJ, she claims to be a perfectionist, well, if she had a real input imo she wouldn't let the producers messed up her vocals and other shits like that, and she would fight to do what she wants to do, because let's be realistic for a minute, if Britney would do an album just by herself i HIGHLY doubt it would sounds like songs like isbe, body ache, work bitch etc. Not sayin she didn't do anything of course, but i'm pretty sure that for most of it she didn't express herself unfortunately and accepted everything because as she said herself again, she can't say "no".

I don't think tho that she's controlled and manipulated. About her career, by her label yes probably, that's even sure, like most of artists. But not in her personal life, imo she's even more free than what most of us can imagine, i doubt the conservatorship means anything now. It's just here to protect her and her money.

Lol. I don't have any personal talk with her, just as a fan if you know Britney's music at least a little, you should know that all the covers she did, the songs she made, they are for most of them, if not all of them the opposite of edm. So, i don't know but if you have a sense of deduction, you could think that edm or at least generic commercial shit (and i never said anywhere she doesn't like it) isn't really what she would do if she had the choice.

And she said herself she had nothing to prove anymore and does it for fun now, what do you want more ? :drown: An artist that says this clearly doesn't care that much anymore.

Isn't britney always trying to challenge herself and spice things up? And just because she's doing it for fun doesnt mean she's lost her passion; and if she really didnt care anymore then she really wouldnt have made an eighth album.

MFTE

Also, I don't think Britney necessarily hates her job, it's just that she's probably the kind of girl, where if her works is scheduled to end at 5PM, she will leave at 5 PM and won't extend a minute more.

Maybe that's because she has kids who are her priority, whereas she didnt before :thatsweird:

Exactly, I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it's just that she probably has other priorities now, besides her career. She could probably do a lot more, which require more rehearsals, but chooses not to.

:orangu: You mean with disappointments, lack of promotion and lot of other things, right ? Because otherwise i'm sorry but i don't see it. Everything since a long time, career wise, is kinda boring you can't deny it. The only "challenge" i could see is Vegas. So that's not "always".

And  she had a contract , of course she would have made an eighth album, she HAD to do it. That's not a surprise btw that it had only 10 tracks and wasn't promoted. And i'm not saying she lost all her passion, but she's clearly doesn't care that much anymore and really isn't that passionate either. Someone passionate gives everything in what she's doing, everything. And not half of this, half of that etc. And right now, i'm sorry, you're really delusional if you think she's passionate just like day 1.

Though she didnt feel the need to promote it and prove herself to everyone, she was brave enough to leave her comfort zone and instead of being critical you should be proud. She didn't have to give very much effort for vegas and couldve still had great sales (like FFT) yet she put her mind and heart to it and has improved so much. And how do you know she's not giving it her all? Of course she's not as passionate as the beginning but she still cares and loves what she does.
