Though she didnt feel the need to promote it and prove herself to everyone, she was brave enough to leave her comfort zone and instead of being critical you should be proud. She didn't have to give very much effort for vegas and couldve still had great sales (like FFT) yet she put her mind and heart to it and has improved so much. And how do you know she's not giving it her all? Of course she's not as passionate as the beginning but she still cares and loves what she does.

Because gurl, if she would still really care, and was as passionate as you think she would promote her work just like every artist on earth that cares about his career because that's what they fucking love. If she was that passionate she would take time to perform because, yes, she has other priorities like her kids, and it's really not a bad thing and i'm glad she can take time for it. But her kids are at school and are with Kevin sometimes, it's not like she was always busy at home, you know. And she's not a person that goes to work early in the morning and come back late at home every day of the week and only have like just 5 weeks of vacations in a year. She totally could take time to do a lot of things if she would want it, just like a passionate person would do.

And yes she did great with Vegas, (except the fact that she doesn't even sing, funny for someone passionate who challenge herself and spice things up.) But other than that.....

As i said, seems like it's just as a simple hobby now, i'm not saying she doesn't love it anymore, it's just that, well, it's for fun now. Meaning she doesn't take the things too seriously = she doesn't care a lot anymore = she's not that passionate anymore. It goes together, if you don't take the thing too seriously it obviously means you don't care about it that much meaning you're not that passionate, because if you were, you would care and take things seriously. End of story.

Just tell me first, what makes you think she's not passionate? You keep saying she's not yet you give no proof (you also have no right to do so too cause you're, you know, not britney spears).

When people conspire that britney has lost all her passion and that she's being controlled and manipulated by everyone in her life. We'll find out that britney didnt get to do one song that she wanted and everyone will get all up in arms about how she has no control in her life, which is totally uncalled for. And everyone says that BJ had little artistic input/freedom from her, but what's making you think this? There is little to no proof.  It just sounds like some people are trying to make her life seem more oppressed and gloomy than it actually is. And don't you DARE claim she has no passion anymore (I just saw a thread about that which inspired this rant but I dont mean to single them out, their thread just happened to be the catalyst). Maybe she seemed a little passionless during the FF era but now she seems energetic and hard-working. Just because she doesnt dance as swift and sharp as she did 16 years and 2 kids ago doesnt mean she hasnt put her heart in it. The conservatorship of course in still in place but is very loose and pretty much only exists right now to keep vegas in place (remember that weird thing where she cant perform in vegas without the c-ship).

Yall need to stop. Thank you :displeased:

I'm with you girl  :bomt:

Omfg , because, as i said i least 75456483 times, she fucking said herself she has nothing to prove anymore and does it for fun. What you don't understand in this ? :orangu: So, again, doing it for fun exactly means not taking it seriously, meaning she doesn't care that much, because if you don't take a thing really seriously obviously it means you don't really care, which means you're not really that passionate because if you were, you would care.

And anyway a passionate performer would NEVER say a thing like that, never. Someone passionate doesn't do somehitng "for fun", especially not an artist, a performer. I don't think you realize that being passionate is not just about to like something. Like a hobby, as you read a book or watch tv.

She never said she does it for fun. I think she cares about her career, just not the competition in the industry.

Some of you comments in here, I won't say which ones, I am guilty of making. It is stupid of me to make such comments so I make a blanket apology. You are correct in having complaints. Isn't this what we left behind? Also, we have to allow people room to express themselves as well. Then we are no better than Exhale. Just on the other side of the spectrum. We have to find a middle ground. Let people have their say and except other peoples stance no matter what it may be, as long as they do not become argumentative.

I have no tolerance for those who don't appreciate britney :queenflopga:

Isn't britney always trying to challenge herself and spice things up? And just because she's doing it for fun doesnt mean she's lost her passion; and if she really didnt care anymore then she really wouldnt have made an eighth album.

Umm I agree with both of you on some points.... but didn't she make an 8th album because of her contract with her label? :thinkingpinky:

I've heard that Britney isn't allowed to perform anywhere else and promote her album under her Vegas contract. I do agree that she should sing the ballads live, though, but I do think she likes what she does. She didn't have to do Vegas at all. She could've just thrown out this album and retired had she really wanted to, but she decided to go to Vegas instead and start a residency. And we can't say it's because of the money because she doesn't need anymore money to retire. She's set for life.

I totally agree with your post.

I also find it funny when some fans think she'll miraculously become 2003ney again when the conservatorship is over, with better dancing, Blackout 2.0 and promotion like she did back in the day. And fail to remember that even back when she was "free" and had "passion," she still had to fight to release the songs she wanted or have certain songs included on an album. Read any of her letters to fans back at the end of 2004 and early 2005 and you'll see just how controlled she was.

True, I guess in that respect I have made certain comments like you were referring to but I have always appreciated Britney. I just have not always said it all the time. I love Britney and I am happy she is doing what she loves to do. Entertaining, sing, and dancing. And just to set the record strait on one matter though. I do believe Britney does sing on all her own tracks. I have seen an old interview where she said if she could do that and not be famous she would be happy. So I very glad she is no longer getting the media attention she once did, while on the street. But Britney still "Owns The Carpet".

I kind of went all over the place with this reply I guess

Imo I think Britney likes making music and performing because it makes people happy. She has always been an entertainer more so than anything. The music, dancing and the show of it was all about creating enjoyment for the audience.

I think when she was younger the fans were happy with her music and performances and that encouraged her. Then the pressure hit and she started noticing the people not enjoying it more than the people enjoying it. Even if more people were enjoying it.

These two first things combined to create a perfectionist out of something that can never be perfect. The more she tries to make things perfect the more things people have to complain about creating this cycle that I wish that I could go back in time to nip in the bud.

My view based on what I think I know about Britney is I think Britney likes to create music about her life now but not biography. She wants to share wants she's going through but in ways that her fans will understand and feel a connection too. She wants the fans to feel the connection via their own lives not via knowing Britney's life.

I think this is where the disconnect is. The fans want the "Britney" of it all and Britney wants to share what she has in common with the fans.

The fans want a Britney who is free to not worry and just bare her soul but it's the fans that make her worry.

And I do think her team over worrying around Britney (which they've done since the beginning) about what will interest the fans gets to Brit more now. She worries about what will entertain. I think I believe as Orbit does, that her team can worry Britney into worse self doubt then she has naturally.

For album 9 I would love for Britney to find producer or a couple producers that will just be able to get Britney to relax. Imo what some fans feel as a lack of passion is just her inability to relax and trust herself.

well the thing is u cant b sure she isnt in a bad place. i mean u say that out of annoyance but there isnt too much proof she isnt being controlled/ pushed around etc. etc. she is so shy, worried so many times, i think there is a reason to that. i think she gets picked on in her industry by the people she works with tbh. i kno this is a sensitive subject so i really wanna put an emphasis on the fact that this is my own personal opinon but i really dont kno if she is rly happy. i think when she is happy she goes out there and performs goes and does a photoshoot, interview, etc. and lately she hasnt been doing any of those. she is happier than most people would think i'll give u that . thats for sure because u can tell especially when i see her with david (dont kno if they already split or not) but she is better than when she was during blackout era thats for sure!  dont think as happy as u say so. she seems worried most of the times and still not herself. lately she's been looking really REALLY good and happy like the old brit that we knew so thats true but if she is like that all the time? hm i dont kno .i dont kno if we can answer that cuz we really might never know.

Well it's hard to defend someone who doesn't "seem" to have a voice/opinion. Honestly I don't see her as person who looks like they want to be on stage, wants to sing, wants to make fans proud. Everything is so micromanaged that we don't know what's real and what's not.
