Selena Gomez is basic and absolutely does not have the international attention or recognition as an image-shaker that Britney is famous for…let alone the hit songs, smash albums, or memorable performances.

Whoever this chick is, her entire schtick will be the same thing: girl-next-door sex kitten with questionable vocal skills and a fierce fucking dancer. And she will land on the scene and explode.

The Madonna/GaGa and Mariah/Ariana comparisons are both super valid and receive a lot of attention. But there isn't anyone out there at present remotely in the running to touch Queen B's crown.

Justin Bieber is unfortunately the "boy version" of Britney. Both are questionable vocalists but can dance well. Both started out innocent and transitioned into bad girl/boys. Both are controversial and both have had worldwide stardom. They were both the definition of the American Dream boy/girl before they grew up. Also their biggest songs have the word "Baby" in them. Obviously Britney is 1000x better but the comparisons are there.

It's the opposite with Justin in singing and dancing... Justin is actually a good singer and it's his dancing that's questionable (and a bit try hard).

I agree that they're similar in celebrity status and star power though. He also has a C-list significant other (which Justin was in Britney's prime lbr ).

Ariana and GaGa are both downgraded imitations of the originals though... Ariana can't sing half as well as Mariah in her prime and GaGa isn't half as groundbreaking as Madonna. So this new girl will probably smash and the GP will love her cause of the Britney comparisons, but we, the future Madonna stans will educate and drag them cause we know who's the true Queen
