90s music is slowly coming back and her team seems to forget Britney was Queen of the Late 90s! It would've done wayyy better than the Britney Jean sound and it was the first time I think Britney's made a HUGE misstep on the timeliness of her sound. People are praising Justin left and right for Not A Bad Thing being a throwback to his Nsync days and it would make people love Britney again when she releases a song that gives the same nostalgia. :crying3:

I agree with the justin point. but you see Britney has always been known for her always changing music. so  I think would be really odd if she goes back to bubblegum pop like before.  :tea2:

90s music doesn't mean bubblegum pop, she's +30yo obviously she's not going to do bubblegum pop, she's not a Katy Perry. She can do mature music with a 90s sound, and imo it would sound a lot better than edm.

One of the main things going for Britney is nostalgia tbh. I think they should take advantage of it. The other is sex, of course, which they still keep  :betterwb:

Lucky is more mature than most of Britney Jean lbr  :verycool: Just a few tweaks and it would be good to go. I find it genius how they managed to make such sad lyrics so 90s pop  :Iloveit:

Why keep mentioning EDM. The Ballad/Midempos of BJ aren't EDM (except for parts of NTIFY).

Lucky's a great song though. I love it <3

And I think fans just want Britney to make sad music when she obviously doesn't want to do that. I think that is what is causing the conflict.

Personally, I like the idea of the 90s sound, however I want her to keep growing as an artist. Her albums are so good, because they're different tbh.

Baby - cute 90's

Oops - Early 2k pop

Britney - bubblegum pop/hip hop

In the Zone - mature pop/international vibe

Blackout - urban

Circus - classic pop

Femme Fatale - dubstep pop

Britney Jean - EDM

IMO, she needs to do a good, cohesive album for her next one. It needs to be something different. Maybe Adult Contemporary without being boring? Idk, as long as it's different I'm fine! :D I hate when artists make the same album twice, whether it's good or not.

Imo....

Blackout isn't Urban It's Electropop with an Urban dance groove/vibe.

FF is updated dance pop (that her early hits were) with a Dubstep flare. It's the updated Oops though Oops has more personal songs.

Britney Jean is Electro AC with an EDM flare.

I wasn't talking about lucky especially. Just bubblegum pop overall. But lucky is kinda childish tbh i wouldn't see her release a song like that now, the meaning of the song is mature but the lyrics with the instrumental is kinda childish.

Nobody said we want sad music  :uhwtf: a 90s sound doesn't have to be a ballad/sad song. I'm fine with the ballad/mid tempos in BJ, what's bothers me are the edm uptempos that's why i mentionned edm in my post, and imo it would be better to have a 90s sound instead, or something else, but not edm. Dance songs doesn't have to be edm. But anyway nobody say they want sad songs, we (me at least) just want something else than the generic edm we hear everywhere nowadays, and a 90s sound is a good idea.
