IfYouCantTakeItThenGetBack Posted July 4, 2014 #1 Report Posted July 4, 2014 *This is a reply to the thread by WeKeepOnRockin* Yes she lip syncs. No she's not doing any sort of choreography except for the little hand wave. But this performance is amazing and it gives me chills. Here Is why: After I Wanna Go ends, the whole stage gets dark, the props are taken off the stage, dancers leave, and Britney sits on a prop. Suddenly, the spotlight turns on, and there is Britney Spears, alone in the dark under the spotlight. The track begins.... "Early morning, she wakes up." As soon as those words are sung, the hairs all over my body stand up as the crowd starts screaming. Here is a very popular song which she has not sung in well over a decade. The song now holds a different meaning: back in 2000, this song was simply a song about a girl named Lucky, sung by a new teenage arist. The song was simply a song, a good one that is. Today, 14 years later, the song holds an extremely different meaning. Today, the girl named Lucky is Britney. She is the one who cries at night while we wonder, why? She's now the one who was forced to put on a fake smile for years. The world kept spinning and she kept on winning but unfortunately, the world stopped. In the song, she asks "what happens when It stops?" Unfortunately, we all know what happened when it stopped. Britney is no longer the teenage girl that sung Lucky 14 years ago, she is now a legend that has gone to hell and back. Sure she lip syncs the song and there's no real choreography or pyrotechnics or anything. That's what makes this performance special, the simplicity of it. For 2 minutes, we get to see Britney the human, not the superstar. 9

Christino Posted July 4, 2014 #5 Report Posted July 4, 2014 I still think she really needs to sing live those ballads while sitting there doing barely nothing 3

TheSnake Posted July 4, 2014 #13 Report Posted July 4, 2014 This performance gave a whole new beautiful feel to lucky for me. And that intro. Is mysterious and enchanting. Beautiful
It's Claudia Bitch Posted July 4, 2014 #14 Report Posted July 4, 2014 I love this performence since the first POM night. It looks so beautiful when at the end of song she's going out of stage and then she stops, sings "Why do these tears come at night?" in the spotlight and running out of stage.

Dont get me wrong when i saw britney live i knew about lipsync and i didnt care. But we all know she can sing ballads live, she needs to believe in herself and challenge herself more.
