Brit did such a good job in that scene I can't really take kim catrall seriously as her mom though because I keep seeing Samantha from SATC instead

I actually thought Britney's acting was okay, not Oscar worthy or anything but certainly better than alot of other movies I've seen. I thought she did really good in the sad moments of the movie where she had to cry, she did REALLY good at those scenes. My favorite scene is when they all sing "I Love Rock N' Roll" at the karaoke bar. I have the pop-up version, where britney pops up on the screen, telling random facts and histrories.. OMG! I need this version in my life!

I watched it at the cinema BTW. So jealous of you rn. Wish I was a britney fan back then and saw it like that. I would have only been like 5/6 though. I do have great memories of watching it on VHS though. I was watching a programme about a bunch of throwback (flop) pop stars reforming (Big Reunion) and I was telling my mum about a song that they had called Crossroads and she said 'what the britney film?' So I was like how do you know it so well to think I was talking about that? And she said 'she remembers laying in bed with me and watching it when I was a little kid and that she loves the plot and story behind it' Also I remember, me and my sister being sneaky and watching it on my brothers TV (the only one we had the played VHS) and we'd have to pretend we were never in there. Britney is my childhood tbh. One day I'll make a great thread about it. (Probs do it tomorrow tbh) I have at least 10 memories pre-2010. Some going back to 1999 and watching my sisters do the sometimes choreo. I still have the or 2

Like they all get over their tragedies pretty fast for it to be realistic and we didn't even get to see Britneys conversation with Kim Catrall which could've easily been the most emotional part of the entire movie. But that whole plot was wrapped up in 10 minutes . But none of this is Britney's fault, it's the directors problem. I think for what it is, Britney did a really good job so I liked the movie I think the scene in the bathroom when she cries after seeing her mom is great, she is good actress.

I like the first half of the movie better than the second half but it's all good. It only got bashed because people were so into ripping on Britney because they were jealous and hateful. It's not even close to one of the worst movies ever. I've seen so many.

It was cheesy some of the lines were lame lol but people turn it into like this whole ordeal as it being the worst movie of all time then when it was supposed to be cheesy and wasn't it a low budget movie anyway's?

It's a teen chick flick, they are supposed to be cheesy lol. That's what I want when I watch a movie like that. There are so many shitty movies with better scores on iMDB and it's irritating.
