David Posted July 10, 2014 #1 Report Posted July 10, 2014 I am personally past caring about what other people think about Britney and nothing will ever ruin my love for her. However, I still find it sad that she's been #1 trending topic on Facebook for the past 48 hours and I've seen articles about her plastered everywhere, people making rude statuses and I believe the damage done will be serious. Do you think it will further hit her sales and completely destroy her legacy or do you think people have always been aware that she isn't the best singer in the world and they never expected xtina worthy vocals? What annoys me is that Britney is getting so much crap for one leak without autotune yet imagine Cher without it? If it was someone else, it wouldn't receive half as much backlash. It sucks. The drama completely ruined Alien to me. More importantly, has it changed your opinion about Brit-Brit?

I've seen many positive comments from ordinary people saying that she never built her career on her voice and she is mostly a performer; that the vocals aren't as bad as people are making them out to be (which is completely true) and nobody should be criticising her while she's making $30 million in Vegas for lipsyncing and people are still willing to see her. It was a mix of comments really, controversy can be good (Alien is up +500 spots on iTunes) but I wish she would finally get some good publicity, not this shit. 1

After the darkest days of Britney, when the tabloids were about allegedly drug abuse or the custody of her children, or her own custody, or when they even used to post about a possible eventual suicide, I think that this kind of articles about her use of auto-tune is nothing compared to all of that. It's like if we were at the beginning again.I'm not happy with that, of course. But what I mean is that nothing will hurt her or her career again, or nothing will make more damage than all the things media said back in 2006 - 2007.I think everyone will forget about this in a week or less. What really makes me angry, though, is that after years of ignoring all the success Britney has had, now all of a sudden, everyone remembers Britney and feel the need to post about something negative about her. It's almost funny how everyone even talks about Alien as if it were well known by the general public, when I doubt that all those sites that are posting these articles even knew that she released an album last year.Anyway, it should be the perfect oportunity for Britney's team to release it as a single and now make it justifiable that they're talking about it, but I really doubt they'll do something about it. 3 1

I feel like her team should ask her if she is interested in any other ventures...look at Jessica Simpson she could sing but she is making her millions off of a clothing line and such. Britney should do the same. And I wih britneh was up to it but with all this drama going on I think Britney should go in SNL and do a hilarious skit! Maybe something to the extent of why she sounded like that. That way it would be plastered everywhere the next day!

I think we have to thank William Orbit for his comments, he is very respected among the GP and the fact that he's got Britney's back is helping her a lot! Also, the song's popularity is increasing! Anyone with brain can realise that this leak is like you listen to the final version, the media are just trying to pass it as horrible. Britney should remain unbothered once again, it may sounds odd to you, but real stars should not answer to rumors etc.

If anything, it might make Britney and her team wake up and realize she needs to change that perception by not allowing producers to mess with her vocals so much and maybe start singing live. However, I really have no words that can express how much it fucking annoys me that out of all the things that have leaked, things that show Britney's artistry and talent, people only want to focus on this one. Britney is ALWAYS surrounded by negativity and it's draining tbh. If it's hard for us fans, I can't imagine how it is to Britney. I know she has learned to block it all out, but 2007 proved that she can't escape it all.I will never understand why people are so quick to judge and say so many cruel things about her, from her "fans" to the tabloid twats... especially when there are so many other artists out there who get away with worse. 2

I mean she's become known for lipsyncing all the time, so really this probably doesn't surprise them. But I'm sad because I know the haters will have a hay-day. I just KNOW they're going to throw this in my face when they try to argue that she can't sing worth a shit and no amount of her amazing childhood videos/past live performances are going to be able to erase this damage
