MLspears21 Posted July 10, 2014 #1 Report Posted July 10, 2014 Why do do so many fans dislike Femme Fatale!? It's my 3rd favourite Britney album and imo it's amazing and why were fans upset with Max Martin and Dr Luke? they did a great job!

So no, they don't hate it cause of the era. They hate it because there's a fuckton of synths, autotune and other vocal effects, A.K.A the perfect formula for smash hits tbh But they felt it was a generic album, which imo it is! and there is NOTHING wrong with that. Generic = General public's acceptance = Hits = $$$. I L O V E HIAM and TTWE, two of the best singles she's ever released in my opinion. They kept bitching about how robotic Britney sounded throughout the record and wanted something more personal.... I really love Britney's music just because of this simple fact: Nothing sounds like anything she's released before. She always goes for different sounds, vibes, you know? She's not reductive I've even come to like Britney Jean.

Femme Fatale was an urban album as desired by Britney but Jive interfered and scrapped her idea leading to what we have now. Although the result was good, it was not the original album that Brit really wanted
