Max is probably the best producer she has worked w imo. He is a talented musician and songwriter, while many other producers are just software geeks and not actual musicians first

 

I still want her to work w underground artists, or well-established songwriters/producers who are outside of corporate pop...maybe w Max Martin overseeing the whole thing. I'd like Britney to grow her sound. I already love how her 8 albums (9 if we assume OD) all have their own sound and vibe. That is actually a remarkable accomplishment, and while people shit on BJ, at least it wasn't a repeat of another album. 

 

I hate how fans wanna push Blackout 2.0 .... Blackout was partly so great because of when it was released, and it being ahead of its time in many ways. The only way for her to do that is to collaborate w producers/songwriters w a vision...and I doubt the mainstream commercial producers, who are recycled by the industry, can do that for her...maybe they can, but art isn't their objective, it's money and ratings. 

 

Even if her next album doesnt sell well, but it is still artistic & ahead of it's time, it will build up her legacy much more than an album that goes platinum a few times. At the same time, I would like to see her successful in sales...but I worry about how many albums she will end up doing. If it's her last I want artistic over chart performance. If she definitely has more records, I could stand a commercial Britney album.

 

I guess when we know info on her next label and record contract kinda stuff, it will give us more idea how long she plans to be in the game. I don't buy the retirement rumors, because her whole entire career beginning BOMT people speculated her retirement. Also, if she goes on a hiatus for several yrs, that is NOT retirement...or we could at least say that she could come out of retirement.

 

Look at MJ, his last 20 yrs he released one album and didnt really tour or do shit musically...but right before his death he was planning a world tour. Not only was his image more battered (child molestation multiple charges is heavy, whether its true or not) but he was older and seemingly much more weird than Britney.

Max martin needs to come back to work with Britney, he is like her father in the music industry, he created Britney's sounds and all the music the he produced and wrote for Britney and were singles were worldwide hits (BOM, Crazy, OIDIA, Stronger, Lucky, Overprotected, etc etc....). Britney's next album needs to be Pop perfection and with Max on board would be a successful album because he knows Britney really well and knows what Britney likes and what she doesn't like

But I agree with everything else you say. But he should never be the executive producer like he was for Femme Fatale. I feel like he tends to take control of an album if he's the EP (like Dr. Luke). 

 

But to be fair, Break Free is more of a Zedd track than Max.
