Yup! It was within a Beyonce thread but the majority think she's the best thing since sliced bread.

I started to listen to some of her music recently cos I listen to music so often (takes an hour to get to and from work and I work 5 times a week) so I go through phases. And I'm finally on a quick Beyonce one after Rih, Chris Brown, Kid Ink etc. and I do like déjà vu, resentment, irreplaceable, 2008 album and Beyonce album and used to like her in 2009 but I just really can't like her as a person and become as infatuated with her as I have Brit since 2011. She's just fake. In the same album, she preaches 'feminism' then talks about her man domineering her

I feel the same. I find her a lot more manufactured than Britney. I appreciate her talent, but she doesn't have that charisma or stage presence like Britney does. She strives too hard to be perfect, her trying to portray the perfect woman/entertainer actually turns me off.

How can you do the same medley in 3 tours and a Glastonbury performance?

Same with P!nk and her gymnastics.

IA so much about P!nk. The gymnastics was cool the first couple of times, but for why must she keep doing the same thing? That's why I love Britney. No two tours, music videos, or performances look exactly alike. And a big YES to everything you said about Beyonce below (don't know how to multiqoute :giggle: ) Her personality and faux-feminism (singing about sex is fine, but acting like you're Jay-Z's walking sex toy is not) are unlikable and her music is mediocre overall. She peaked around her first two solo albums and Single Ladies. :byebitch:

Her most recent top 10s:

Best thing I never had- #3 (2011)

If I were a boy- #1 (2008)

Some of Brits Most recent top 10s:

Work bitch- #7 (2013)

HIAM- #6 (2011

3- #7 (2009)

Beyonce album:

DIL: #9

XO: #22

Partition: #74

Pretty Hurts: #63

Mine: #65

It's not about her music really anymore. Girls like her music but She's just known/liked for 3 things:

Her curviness- most girls are overweight in the uk and Beyonce makes them feel better. even though most don't know she'd rather have an a airbrushed thigh gap)

Hers and Jay zs relationship- when she sings 'but don't think I'm just his little life' she speaks the truth. Everyone in the uk loves 'relationship like this please'. It took the press ages to suggest Hay cheated after the Solange incident. If that was Brit, that's the first thing they'd have said.

She's black- sorry to say it and I love urban and r&b music and racism is a huge thing for me so don't take this the wrong way. But girls here think any black music is good music tbh. Everyone's trying to be the 'most indie' and the 'most urban'. Can't wait to move to CA/American road trip after Uni. Sick of the uk

Yeah, here in the US it's almost like a necessity for African-Americans (which I am) to like Beyonce. My mom loves her and doesn't understand that Britney is more successful. It's her image that people seem to like the most, not her music. And lol about the people wanting to be urban. That's in the US too, but instead of r&b (which people ignore as a genre) everybody under the age of 25 wants to listen to rap :displeased: I don't like rap that much :nonotatall:
