WeKeepOnRockin Posted July 14, 2014 #1 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Britney has given very few live vocal performance since her breakdown. So how do we know she can still sing? Vocal ability isn't just something you possess forever. I mean, look at Mariah - her vocal ability has severely declined this era. Furthermore, if any of you suggest that Britney's studio vocals aren't bad, let me remind you of two possibilities: Autotune technology is now so advanced that producers can disguise the sound so it sounds raw. The other possibility is that, since we haven't seen Britney in more than one candid arriving at or leaving a studio, it's safe to say that somebody else recorded her BJ album (I have yet to see receipts that Britney has a studio in her house), which even if autotune wasn't used, would shoot down claims that Britney's vocals are used in the album. I want proof from you guys. "I know she can still sing." Where's your proof? That all being said, I have accepted that Britney's voice is very subpar these days, but I haven't given up on Britney because every era since her breakdown, she has improved her performances than the era before. So don't you dare call me a hater. 2 8
MyPrerogative3 Posted July 14, 2014 #2 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Since Breakdown? You forget "You Oughta Know" performance? 1
BLACKOUT<3 Posted July 14, 2014 #3 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Preach sis... can I copy this and post this on fotp also known as the brinto haters/?
WeKeepOnRockin Posted July 14, 2014 Author #4 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Since Breakdown? You forget "You Oughta Know" performance? Okay. But that still leaves Femme Fatale and BJ eras. Vocal cords may have worsened during that time.
WeKeepOnRockin Posted July 14, 2014 Author #5 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Preach sis... can I copy this and post this on fotp also known as the brinto haters/? Yes. But give credit to me, please.
BLACKOUT<3 Posted July 14, 2014 #6 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Yes. But give credit to me, please. yes sir <333
MyPrerogative3 Posted July 14, 2014 #7 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Okay. But that still leaves Femme Fatale and BJ eras. Vocal cords may have worsened during that time. ok. I personaly thing she still have voice i don't know why she isn't use it. Everytime, Lucky and Perfume at las vegas should be live, there is no excuse for playback for these performances.
heather Posted July 14, 2014 #8 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Britney hasn't given one live vocal performance since her breakdown. and also when i stopped reading this thread 1
James Posted July 14, 2014 #9 Report Posted July 14, 2014 since breakdown? You forgot 100% RAWney on XFactor 1
WeKeepOnRockin Posted July 14, 2014 Author #11 Report Posted July 14, 2014 and also when i stopped reading this thread fixed the op. Literal, much?
IGOTYOUCRAZY Posted July 14, 2014 #12 Report Posted July 14, 2014 I'm sorry but I disagree. She's shown us she can still sing, FIRST in BJ, album which you can CLEARLY tell it's Britney's voice and nobody else's. Yes, they can easily autotune (or whatever you wanna call the voice processing method used), but it'd sound way more robotic than it does in songs, like, for example, Hold On Tight. Femme Fatale too, but I'm not talking about it as much since it was a party/dance album. Then, we got several videos from the Femme Fatale tour of her singing LIVE. I know she used pre-recording a lot in the tour but some performances were live aka Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know. + Britney singing Happy Birthday to LA Reid less than 2 years ago (her voice sounded a bit shaky but tbh, it was most likely because she was nervous.) We've had tons of PROOF. 3
WeKeepOnRockin Posted July 14, 2014 Author #13 Report Posted July 14, 2014 since breakdown? You forgot 100% RAWney on XFactor Are you trolling?
James Posted July 14, 2014 #14 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Are you trolling? She also sang when she mentored Carly RoseYou can ask Carly, she will tell you that Britney still CAN sing
IGOTYOUCRAZY Posted July 14, 2014 #15 Report Posted July 14, 2014 please don't use excuses. I am not. My opinion isn't an excuse, dear.
heather Posted July 14, 2014 #16 Report Posted July 14, 2014 fixed the op. Literal, much? if you want people to take your posts seriously you shouldn't start them out with a blatant lie. britney has sung live plenty of times before and since her breakdown. her voice is still great, it might be be as strong as it once was, but to say she can't sing (not saying YOU said that) is just false. you want proof she can sing, but where's your proof she can't? you outta know, happy birthday to la reid, when she sang to carly, the handful of times she sang parts of everytime and don't let me be the last to know on circus and ff tours. your "proof" she can't is because autotune exists and we didn't see enough candids of her in a studio? 1
WeKeepOnRockin Posted July 14, 2014 Author #17 Report Posted July 14, 2014 I am not. My opinion isn't an excuse, dear. Nervousness is not an excuse to do badly. 1
Lady Lisa Posted July 14, 2014 #18 Report Posted July 14, 2014 On X Factor she sing like 3 seconds in a Carly Rose video and in London interview she sing 3 seconds that are 6 seconds are you pressed ?
IGOTYOUCRAZY Posted July 14, 2014 #19 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Nervousness is not an excuse to do badly. First, she didn't do "badly" She hit the high notes of the song perfectly. Second, yes... yes, it does. When you're nervous you can do worse in a test. Anxiety can affect all your body cells to the point of causing damage to your normal and usually easy abilities. 1
BritCR Posted July 14, 2014 #20 Report Posted July 14, 2014 I can't believe that you're doubting about Britney's voice To me she stills has a good voice, the problem is that she doesn't want to sing live and that causes that everybody thinks that she can't sing anymore and i hate that
I_need_me Posted July 14, 2014 #22 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Even tho they're studio vocals they sound pretty raw and I believe that's how her real voice sounds right now. Also, if you compare her voice during Happy Birthday in the X Factor and the live moments during Don't let me be the last to know in the Femme Fatale Tour it sounds exactly the same as in many songs from Britney Jean like Don't Cry and Perfume. My point is that despite all the controversy behind Britney's vocals in the album, Britney Jean is a great representation of her current voice. 2
MissAmericanDream Posted July 14, 2014 #24 Report Posted July 14, 2014 Nervousness is not an excuse to do badly.
Corona Posted July 14, 2014 #25 Report Posted July 14, 2014 since breakdown? You forgot 100% RAWney on XFactor Britney's diaphragm was quivering and she was out of breath which made her singing sound bad. However, she was on key so no complaints at that time. Britney would have had to gone down hill fast, vocally, in two years which seems unlikely.
