This controversy has given it so much exposure, can you imagine if it was released to radio?

 

It's already made headlines, and it's universally regarded as the best song of Britney Jean, so why not? And I know it's way too late to release another single, but really?

 

When will they ever get a chance to make another hit like this again now that Britney avoids controversy like the plague?

I agree but in a different way. The entire album is just not my cup of tea except for Til It's Gone, WB, and Hold On Tight. This was the only Britney album I didn't buy and it makes me sad, but I didn't feel immense joy after hearing it like I did every other album. And I dislike Will.I.Am, so...

I mean address it creatively. It's not my place to be involved in these discussions with the management and label, but I do speak with Larry R about various things, not this, and he's not told me off yet for posting the remixes!

 

I love the song and am happy to do these things for the musical heck of it, but I won't lie, having it be the third single would be amazing. But it's important to remember that at the moment, everybody who wants to can hear it, in all its manifestations. But once it's a SINGLE it becomes something that gauged and scrutinised in a whole different context. One has to manage expectations.

 

I've seen some of the tribute videos that people have made. To be quite frank, they're all a bit half-hearted. Common folks, if you're going to make an 'Alien' vid that in the absence of a proper one is going to be seen by a lot of people, at least put your heart and soul into it. And LOTS of man-hours, cos that's what it always takes at the end of the day.

 

I've got something serious going on on my Final Cut Pro, and am thinking of putting it out there, show by example.

I think we all realized that it wasn't real. It's like I told my friends, the recording is akin to someone who can't walk but can do a high kick (like Britney's iconic one!) because she can hit the hardest parts of the song, but completely fucks up basic lines that a 2 year old could sing. The recording is fake as hell. And releasing it, then singing it live at some festival or something (outside of North America so as to not break her PH agreement) would be a great way to prove that she can still sing and bitches can suck it.

I was thinking it could even be a sequel to OIDIA and her life as the queen of mars or whatever but no, I want something new. And it has to be more blueish instead of red. For some reason I always associate the songs with a color, and for me Alien it's something blue - green hahahaha, I know, I'm crazy.

She can be a sci-fi alien without necessarily wearing those Gaga kind of outfits. Just a futuristic dress and hairdo

Another idea, is that she can be just the human Britney on another planet, thus she would be an alien there and wouldn't have to wear a costume

Yes and also in the instrumental bridge part she sings not alone and then the variation but I know she can sing and I wish she'd do a live performance

I've always pictured the Alien Music video as people in need look up to the stars and we see a shoot star that ends up Britney comforting. So a Guardian Angel if you will. Each person in need would be somewhere a radio is playing. Britney's music comforts and is often feel good music. We are never a lone as long as we have songs that lift our mood and keep as going. I picture Britney to be dressed in a version of her Diamond Cat suit since she's a wishing/shooting star. 

 

And I also have always pictured the performance her doing aerials of some type or her coming in the Work Bitch Ball.  She starts off singing Alien and then goes into Work Bitch.

Blue? I actually associated "Alien" with green, probably because of the Little Green Men. Like I imagine a star-studded green sky the color of Solosis' cell gel coating. I'm actually going to keep referring to Pokémon whenever I bring up colors because it's easier than googling shades of green and blue and shit.

Britney as a Renaissance era (1300-1600) high class lady wearing a gorgeous emerald gown with a yellow neckline to compliment her blonde hair, saddened by her loneliness. (BOMT reference! ) Also, her hair is down and styled in the same way as If U Seek Amy. With lots of volume and layers for sexiness.

 

As she lays on a verdant, flower-filled field of grass, she stares up at the crystal blue noon sky, wishing she wasn't so alone.

 

A flying saucer then hovers overhead and beams her up and she comes face to face with a man made entirely out of crystal and she faints. Then the song starts as the saucer is shown flying through the galaxy.

 

Britney wakes up after the saucer crash lands onto a strange pink planet. She walks out to see strange trees, grass and bushes, all seemingly made out of pink crystal. As she sees the crystal man behind her, she grabs the many folds of her dress and races away with a blinding speed, not even noticing the green colored sky. The man is shown following her through the pink foliage.

 

As she lays down to rest by a shockingly clear purple lagoon with floating green plants, she wonders out loud why the crystal man abducted her, and remarks on the fact that she doesn't feel so much different than being home. She falls asleep from exhaustion and the second verse starts.

 

Britney wakes up, startled by the crystal man. Except... he's taking care of her. Having made her a bed from a pink bush, she realizes that the crystals actually feel warm and soft. And the man himself is beautiful beyond words. Feeling cared for, Britney closes her eyes and smiles and the man kisses her. The music pauses after the second chorus.

 

She says she's never felt so at home before, and then the crystal man mysteriously carries her back to the saucer, past a flock of incredibly weird looking creatures. They're shown traveling through the galaxy yet again, and Britney is crying at the thought of losing the one person who's cared for her.

 

The crystal man takes a syringe from out of a cabinet (I imagine the entire inside of the saucer being like one of those places where you get your blood drawn with an added control panel for steering and a few beds against the walls with straps) and draws some blood from Britney's arm. Confused, she sees him put the blood in a machine which dings a few seconds later and another syringe emerges from it, this one with a vibrant, gooey purple liquid. He injects himself in the elbow, and begins to transform into flesh.

 

The music starts up again, and once again Britney faints, from the shock of what she's just seen. Then we fade into her lying on the field of grass again, suggesting everything's been a dream. But then she is approached by a figure dressed in pink. She looks up to see the face of her crystal man. He smiles at her and holds his hand out to her. She takes it and they walk away in each others' arms.

 

I came up with this video long before I saw "Maleficent", but I'd definitely want the alien world to have the same magical feel as the moors where Maleficent lives.

LOL Classic CN definitely had a distinctive art style, that's for sure. But I think it'd be pretty if the pink world looked like that, honestly.
