Cambria Posted July 22, 2014 #51 Report Posted July 22, 2014 Now all they need to tell me is that she's gonna come out with another doll line, and I will literally start crying. My life would be made.
Dolce Posted July 22, 2014 #52 Report Posted July 22, 2014 This has absolutely nothing to do with the lyrics of the song tbh. OIDIA has nothing to do with being an alien on mars either tho
Veis Posted July 22, 2014 #53 Report Posted July 22, 2014 Leak this flawlessthing, just leak it. AND PLEASE GIMME MORE NEW MUSIC IN SUMMER/EARLY FALL
Mr American Dream Posted July 22, 2014 #54 Report Posted July 22, 2014 There is a storyline here tho. Bomt, oops, etc.. Except toxic maybe, there weren't any storyline in those videos. If this is true, im glad it was changed for the one that was released. I always thought, britney or not, it was stupid to do a video with a storyline that has nothing to do with the lyrics, but whatever.. Well she's singing about a third person that destroys their relationship but the major word PERFUME can be translated like that: Since she leaves the town and then gets murdered, the perfume is the only thing left from her that would remind him of their love, plus the memories. 1
I_need_me Posted July 22, 2014 #55 Report Posted July 22, 2014 We will probably see the video, but damn, it sounds so amazing. Her team is so stupid for thinking it would bring bad press, people would be impressed by how dark the video is! They should let her do those kind of things, she's not a Disney artist, she can be as dark as she wants
BlCoWa Posted July 22, 2014 #56 Report Posted July 22, 2014 I don't like this script at all. How does it even resemble the song? And that whiny director was going on and on about this all the time? I don't get, what some of you guys find so amazing in it. Glad that Britney or her team, or whoever else it was, changed the video.
Brian.TheDog Posted July 22, 2014 #57 Report Posted July 22, 2014 I don't like this script at all. How does it even resemble the song? How does Mars reflect Oops? How does a cliff reflect I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman? How does a school reflect Bomt? How does an asian club reflect IAS4U? How does a bunch of colors and futuristic backgrounds reflect HIAM? Usually Britney's videos don't reflect the content of the song
Pokémon Spears Posted July 22, 2014 #58 Report Posted July 22, 2014 Why can't we get the original video? Anyway, a new video??!!! It seems so impossible. If it happens to be true, and it's as expensive as they say, it's probably new music, but I don't know, I feel kinda bad that Britney Jean didn't have more videoclips. I hope it's just a new single, like Alien, ISBE, TIG or something before we get new music. Not that I wouldn't like more new music, but, you know, I can't feel 100% fine when I see BJ could have been so much bigger, even though everybody says that is a bad album, and at the end only received 2 singles. Well, if Joseph Kahn has confirmed that the concept of the video was almost right, that makes almost sure the part about Chris Applebaum. I should get excited because of her previous work with Britney, but after the Perfume fiasco, when we thought JK was a guarantee of a great video, I can't get too excited about it... 1
BlCoWa Posted July 22, 2014 #59 Report Posted July 22, 2014 How does Mars reflect Oops? How does a cliff reflect I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman? How does a school reflect Bomt? How does an asian club reflect IAS4U? How does a bunch of colors and futuristic backgrounds reflect HIAM? Usually Britney's videos don't reflect the content of the song I got your point , but I don't like this particular scenario. I liked the simplicity of Perfume video.
tarotx Posted July 22, 2014 #60 Report Posted July 22, 2014 in a thematic way both the song and that "script" deal w sacrifice How does the song Perfume deal with Sacrifice? Girl is Crazy worrying and decides to make sure to put her mark on her guy. Almost the opposite of Sacrifice.... How does Mars reflect Oops? The setting is just for drama. The song Britney wants more than regular love. She wants the magic of heroes and movies to exist so the boy goes to the heart of the ocean to prove that he can be that guy. The video might not be word or word but it fits the song. How does a cliff reflect I'm Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman? It's a Spiritual setting for a philosophical themed song. How does a school reflect Bomt? Well it's the first video that was changed But she's singing and dancing her appeal to the guy she's not with any longer How does an asian club reflect IAS4U? Dancing and sex club. Slave fits that theme How does a bunch of colors and futuristic backgrounds reflect HIAM? Here I'll give you The video is Illuminati filled and has Britney moving and dancing through objects that represent her career (her videos and product placement). It's kind of asking do you hold Britney's career against her as a girl. Usually Britney's videos don't reflect the content of the song
Fiyero Posted July 22, 2014 #61 Report Posted July 22, 2014 Idk, I still feel like the heavy gun-driven storyline would have been problematic. Esp with the influx of shootings lately. I just feel like it would really leave a bad taste in people's mouths / rub people the wrong way. She would have gotten crucified for it. (I know everybody wants controversy, but still...idk)
Far Beyond Posted July 22, 2014 #62 Report Posted July 22, 2014 How does the song Perfume deal with Sacrifice? Girl is Crazy worrying and decides to make sure to put her mark on her guy. Almost the opposite of Sacrifice.... she sacrifices by not creating drama or accusing her man of cheating...because she loves him and is unsure "do I imagine it? is there still longing there?" and furthermore, she sacrifices a small fragment of her personal trust/integrity by cracking to the pressure and spraying the perfume as a defense, showing that ultimately there was not full trust alot was given up in the relationship...whether literally or figuratively
tarotx Posted July 22, 2014 #63 Report Posted July 22, 2014 I just can't get Sacrifice from the song. Especially one that would go with the theme of the original synopsis. In perfume she has self doubt about what she is sensing. She doesn't have enough faith in herself or him to vocally ask the cause of this distance. Not Sacrifice. Fear. And yeah a huge lack of trust. In him and herself. she sacrifices by not creating drama or accusing her man of cheating...because she loves him and is unsure "do I imagine it? is there still longing there?" and furthermore, she sacrifices a small fragment by cracking to the pressure and spraying the perfume as a defense, showing that ultimately there was not full trust alot was given up in the relationship...whether literally or figuratively
kasavas Posted July 22, 2014 #64 Report Posted July 22, 2014 Where are the pictures though? I wanna see them even if they're fake.
Far Beyond Posted July 22, 2014 #65 Report Posted July 22, 2014 I just can't get Sacrifice from the song. Especially one that would go with the theme of the original synopsis. In perfume she has self doubt about what she is sensing. She doesn't have enough faith in herself or him to vocally ask the cause of this distance. Not Sacrifice. Fear. And yeah a huge lack of trust. In him and herself. there are multiple themes, and sacrifice is one of them...it doesnt have to be a tangible sacrifice lack of trust, sanity, doubt...mixed w love and longing...is the perfect storm for sacrifice. In her mind she was stuck btwn a rock and a hard place...damned if ya do & damned if ya dont she must make a decision but is so conflicted that she is stuck between the option of a relationship without trust... or a big fight or issue that will lead to future problems or a breakup. She stays w him choosing trust over distrust, although secretly she "fools herself" into this idea (Ill never tell on myself) and actually begins the process of distrust...it's a decision and a sacrifice. The decision to "mark her territory" is exaggerated in her "crazy/fearful" mind because how does perfume actually mark territory in the example of cheating/suspected cheating...and she get's "relief" through this decision, thus sacrificing her true sanity and feeling, as well as her time in the relationship trying desperately to make it work. We know that the relationship ends, she is hurt by it, and it is not a far reach to assume that these were the end days of the relationship. All relationships require sacrifice, and she sacrifices (on many levels, mostly personal) by marking her territory instead of confronting what it haunting her. Im not saying sacrifice itself is the only theme, but it surely relates to a breakup...or pre-breakup song. I actually think the song is very under-rated, and has much deeper themes than most of the fanbase get or can relate to
BrittonJeanSpears Posted July 23, 2014 #66 Report Posted July 23, 2014 Idk, I still feel like the heavy gun-driven storyline would have been problematic. Esp with the influx of shootings lately. I just feel like it would really leave a bad taste in people's mouths / rub people the wrong way. She would have gotten crucified for it. (I know everybody wants controversy, but still...idk) Criminal's gun scene didn't get controversy and 2011 had plenty of shootings. The only time Britney got shit for it were the Londoners because there'd been riots in the block she was filming the year before. So Perfume most likely wouldn't have been all the controversial.
Guest blehh Posted July 23, 2014 #67 Report Posted July 23, 2014 Hmm i don't know. Sounds way too extreme for Britney to actually film, but if true that's bad ass and it needs to leak Well it was confirmed by the director himself, so hell yes its true, i cant believe her team is raping her career this much....its just insane, WHY?! WHY?!?!?!?!??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Totally forgot about Criminal haha. Oops!
BrittonJeanSpears Posted July 23, 2014 #69 Report Posted July 23, 2014 Totally forgot about Criminal haha. Oops! Damn right.
ashley Posted July 23, 2014 #70 Report Posted July 23, 2014 it sounds good and all but what exactly does it have anything to do with the song
Brian.TheDog Posted July 23, 2014 #71 Report Posted July 23, 2014 I got your point , but I don't like this particular scenario. I liked the simplicity of Perfume video. i like it too
PopMusicJunkie Posted July 23, 2014 #72 Report Posted July 23, 2014 Given all the mass shooting the Us has seen over the past two years, and the call for more censored violence and gun use in media...it wouldn't have been a good look. Disappointing but understandable. This. One of Britney's strengths is her music videos, so there is no doubt she pulled what was used from this draft off. But I too think it was a wise choice to release the version we ultimately got, especially since the video for "Perfume" was released almost around the same time as the Sandy Hook anniversary.
PrinceAli89 Posted July 23, 2014 #73 Report Posted July 23, 2014 I may be in the minority here but I don't really like that storyline.
Jojo93220 Posted July 23, 2014 #74 Report Posted July 23, 2014 It would have been an amazing video. As for the "new music" part, I really hope this is true cause I'm starving for Britney new music!!!!
martha Posted July 23, 2014 #75 Report Posted July 23, 2014 this sounds epic like a beautiful tragedy
