With most of the top songs right now being Alternative, Indie, Rock, and other genres, it's obvious pop and EDM are fading.

It makes me wonder what Britney will do on the next album because pop has never really faded that much since her career started. She went slightly hip hop with ITZ when hip hop was popular. She innovated with Blackout and actually influenced pop music to go darker and clubbier along with JT. And I think we can all agree Britney Jean was dated before it was even released.

Will she innovate pop like she did with Blackout? Will she mix pop with other genres like she did with In The Zone? Will she try a new genre? Or will she revive pop with timeless hits like 3 and Toxic?

Discuss.  :tea2:

TLDR: Pop was always Britney's genre but it's fading so what will she do for the next album?

I want her to make pure pop again. Something different like In The Zone. It was a pop album with a urban vibe.

ITZ is far from pure pop...baby and oops albums are pure pop...ITZ is a pop album, but with a lot of influences from hip hop and r&b

Something that will be true to Britney's Brand and bring out the Danceney. Something in between FF and BO! I don't care if dance pop isn't popular on the charts right now. It's Britney's bread & butter and I'd rather she stay true to that than do something trendy (Lana Del Rey, Miley, etc..) just to sell records! I want DANCENEY music all the way!

I said ITZ is a pop album, not pure pop album. My point was that I want her to make a pure pop or something like ITZ.
