Both reasons aside, why do you think they are hiding this song so much and why they paniced so hard when britney said she would release it? What exactly is she exposing in this amazing slaying self-production song? Will we ever get to hear this song? Or will it remain mistery for good?

Yeah, the song isn't something special but because it is VEEEEEEERY dark and mysterious and urban and cool. Also, the instrumental and Britney's voice are kinda creepy, the media said some things about it, also the dark period of Britney's life made BArmy love it so much. Let's not look back at those bad days, she got over them and is happy now.

This is how she felt about her label, her family, her handlers, etc. They're protecting it so much because they know it's the most sought after Britney track. They'll probably release it when she retires/dies. They know they'll make major bucks off this song.

Agreed, it's always a weird experience to listen to Rebellion, Mona Lisa (either version, it's even weirder that they changed lyrics for the final version, esp. She pretty much blocked her entire family out of her life and let bad people control her (Sam, Adnan, and Alli). They brainwashed her into thinking that her family was bad, when in reality it was them who was bad. I hope I'm making sense lol. I'm awful at explaining what I want to say.

Honestly I agree that it will be released probably after she dies so they can cover their asses and make money off of her at the time time, which is totally awful but the sad truth. I really hope it leaks before then though.
Joanhs Posted July 26, 2014 #20 Report Posted July 26, 2014 Rebellion is recorded oktober 2006, she was fine with her parents at that time, the divorce was fairly new, I think she wrote it months before recording it. I think having kids was actually some kind of way to rebel, no manager in their sane mind would have wanted her to get married and have children, they would have wanted her to go straight back to work after recovery from her knee-injury.
