News. Relvancy = exposure nowadays, not how much success, talent, and effort someone puts forth into their career.

If I'm correct, it is almost 10,000,000 digital downloads, and almost 400,000,000 views on Vevo Also, Work Bitch is platinum in USA. the song is pretty influential if you ask me. The video is iconic. 120,000,000 views on Vevo and will likely keep rising. It's a popular video that fans, and general public, refer and will refer to. How is GUY, Birthday Cake, Tennis Court doing on charts/Vevo btw? Last time I checked Britney's Femme Fatale sold about 15,000,000 singles and about 2 million albums. The era's videos were all hits too. And Most of Britney's #1s in USA hot 100 are actually post-"meltdown" songs :e ating: and her videos re always hits. New and less new, both getting certified left and right Britney has grossed about 200,000,000 post-"meltdown" just from touring/shows. Her fragrance lines include the best selling fragrances on the market. She has more twitter followers than some of their faves and more FB followers than the most recognizable man on Earth now: Obama Delusional people say anything about relevancy in terms of Britney. They can say a lot of things about Britney. She very rarely sings live? She doesn't dance as good as 2004? (although her dancing has waayyyy improved and better than any of their faves') Perfume flopped? oh boohoo. I guess I'm Not a Girl Not Yet a Woman and many other singles which flopped also made her "irrelevant".. You wanna talk about irrelevancy ?? Let's spill some tea... Gaga, 3 albums in, has lost her 15 months of FAME (reference lol) and yet she still sings about Fame and seeks attention when she can't even reinvent herself, nor reinvent a hit song after only 5 years of a "career." Thiefonce, although "on top of her game" as her HIVs claim, she still remains unoriginal and I really haven't heard any of her songs on pop radio since Sasha Fierce tbh These are facts Let's talk about Britney Jean, shall we? Her lowest-selling album so far debuted with 110,000 copies in its first week. Lana Del Rey, Sam Smith, etc. [aka this month's biggest artists arguably] have sold as well in the 100-170k range in their debut. Selena gomez hasn't surpassed 100k... Guess she's irrelevant? lol. Let's talk about irrelevant shall we? Xtina is. Lotus with 50k debut. Mooriah with 60,000 debut. JLO with 30,000 debut. So if these girls who came out almost same time as Britney are selling 1/3 or 1/2 of her sales, that still means that Britney is the only one of legendary status from that era. Britney, in 2014, has sold so far 110,000,000 albums. She is 32 fucking years old. Has 2 kids. While their faves are struggling to either have kids or have a career. Gaga doesn't have kids and yet looks like she gave birth to quints... Beyonce faked a pregancy cuz she was scared of getting fat - which we all know she has fat thighs that need to be photoshopped on every cover of albums and magazines. Katy is almost Britney's age and is singing about 12-year old issues. Talk about pedophilia Britney actually is focusing on her family and her motherhood and staying in a stable place for a working mother: Vegas. Sold out show after sold out show. The cultural impact of Piece Of Me is unreal. It's huge. Anyone who thinks POM is a flop is delusional and Britney's iconic looks/moves prove her relevancy is infinite. Work Bitch's hand choreo is more relevant and iconic than most choreos these days tbh Also, whose nonsingles get as much attention as Britney does? Let's be real. Many artists use autotune. Many artists lipsync. Many artists aren't the same as they were 10-15 years ago. Yet Britney gets all the attention for doing any of the above. One word for you: RELEVANCE Thus, I dunno what the intention of this post is, cuz we should all agree that anyone who thinks/says Britney is "irrelevant" is as delusional and spiteful as they get.
