Both are currently very popular in the media, both are skilled and well-known rappers, plus they're both involved with Queen Latifah's talk show, meaning a guaranteed interview on primetime TV to promote the single, the Intimate Collection, Piece Of Me and that rumored EP.

but my personal opinion on her is that she is not that iconic. i mostly know her for being MJ sister... 

 

Janet is definitely iconic...maybe more of an 80's icon...but an icon nonetheless, unlike today's run-of-the-mill popstar. She changed the pop game, and upped the ante on choreography. Also, most importantly Britney would want to work with her and would therefore almost surely put more effort into it than, say a T.I. collab. Janet is a legend in the industry, and regardless of whether she is trending or popular now, she will go down in music history...so if Britney is gonna collab w anyone in the pop game, then it should be a legend. I want a quality song, not some empty hit. Thinking futuristically, t would further her own legacy to work w a legend than just someone popular right now.

First of all, JT has nothing to do w whether Britney should collab w Janet. His publicity would only make it more scandalous anyways, and we all know that scandal follows Britney anyways. 

 

See my response above about people checking for Janet. Quality over quantity, will help Britney's future legacy. Plus Britney would love the collab...so she should do what she wants

 

And just noooooo on the Will Smith music collab...I wouldn't mind seeing her in a movie w him or Queen Latifah (or on her show). A music collab w Latifah would probably not feel right either...it would feel forced, and I doubt it could work. The only way I'd support it is if she worked w her on film and they became friends and did it organically, for fun.
