Director Dave Meyers Was that 10 years ago? wow. I asked snoop to be in the video. It was an extra cost for the studio that they didn't want to pay, but britney loved the idea. The inclusion was simple in that snoop was the "dog father" and we were doing Britney as a version of "cat woman". There was no version with him rapping on the song. NO halle was never meant to be in the video. Britney not doing cat woman as seen in the movie, but channeling the essence of that character. There was only two scenes filmed, the snoop one, and the beginning of a dance that she hurt herself on in take one. And the video died at that moment. The script I don't recall fully but it centered around Britney prowling the streets of New York as an interpretation of Catwoman, Britney style.

I decided to reach out to Dave Meyers on Facebook because apparently no one had ever thought to do so, and he replied. Here's what I sent him and down below is his reply! When this gets mainpaged, you can thank BrittonJeanSpears (who gave me the idea while talking on Facebook) and myself, QueenLanaParrilla, for the exclusive!

"Dear Mr. Meyers,

10 years ago, you directed the video for Britney Spears' song "Outrageous". As you obviously know, the video was unfinished due to Britney suffering a leg injury the first night on set. As the video is unfinished, there are a lot of questions among the fans, as well as countless rumors. I'd like to ask you about some of these.

Is it true that the video was supposed to have a Halle Berry as Catwoman cameo?

Is it true that the song was a remix featuring Snoop Dogg and that is why he was in the video?

Is it true that Britney was supposed to dress up as Catwoman herself?

Is it true that there was in fact enough footage shot to release a full-length video?

And lastly, what was the script of the video?

As we will most likely never get the footage itself, the next best thing would be the director himself telling us about the video that could've been.

Sincerely,

a member of the Britney Army."

I'd suggest commenting on the FB post with that question. He might answer again. Don't forget, it's been ten years. He could've forgotten something.

Never say never. There might've been some crazed pap staking out the shoot and still hasn't sold the footage, waiting for some big event or something. :queenflopga:

And you're totally welcome!

Not sure I believe him

Wouldn't be the first time there was a conspiracy surrounding Britney tbh :queenflopga:

Like I said, feel free to comment on the Facebook post with any additional questions. He'll probably answer it. I would've added the whole rumor about "did Britney fake her injury so she could stop the tour and marry Kevin?" but that rumor's obviously bullshit and I didn't want to piss him off.

Yep. Britney was a hit woman, and she was supposed to KILL Alexander. He fell in love with her and she fell for him, and she let him go. But she was kidnapped by other assassins who beat her, almost to death. Meanwhile, Alexander is heart broken but moves on and falls in love with Cindy. With Cindy, he gets married and has a baby, but always thinking about Britney, his one true love.

Everything that was in the leaked script was confirmed by Joseph Khan himself as being filmed. EXCEPT for one scene where Britney's eyes meet the screen during her beating and she turns to ash. That's the one scene that was never shot, and the phone scene with Cindy's name was filmed afterwards, so it probably wasn't Britney.

This is a one story line that would make slayfume better frankly. Which would take Britney to a higher level (in terms of storyline of a music video)
