No! I mean, I understand that it's a "Titanic" reference. I just don't understand why they decided to put that parody in the song It completely ruins the momentum of the song, not to mention it's out-of-the-blue random.

It's a nod to the movie Titanic (which Britney likes). The guy gives Brit a saphhire just like the actor in the movie (which an old lady who was on the boat threw into the ocean years after it sinked).
