Q About Backing Vocals

Since most of us probably don't want Myah Marie to sing the backing vocals for Britney's next album... I was wonderiiiiingggg if A) Is it's common for artists to sing their own background vocals? B) Does Britney have any songs where she is singing her own background vocals? C) For the production of the next album, who would you prefer to sing the background vocals for Brits songs? Thanks for being patient... Lol

Im pretty sure it is common. Britney has done it before but Im not sure witch song hope this helps

It's pretty common. And I'd prefer Britney sing her own backing vocals. If not Britney, then someone who complements her voice, but doesn't try to replicate it.

Usually artists sing their own backing vocals, but there are exceptions. Britney used to sing backing vocals on all her albums, up until the Blackout era. IDK why she stopped, maybe she just got lazy.

Outrageous for example is mostly her vocals playing along with the main ones

A lot of artist do some of the backing vocals but almost everybody has extra voices. Britney has always had backing vocals. The problem is them using vocalist who try and sing like Britney. It cheapens her vocals because they usually have more power though not great tone (when they try to sound like Britney). Britney sounds best when she has BG vocals that are either deeper or higher than her own. Even Myah works well on songs like Work Bitch when you can clearly tell the difference. It's really the work of the vocal producer and vocal editor to make sure the artist stands out.

Ok this is what I kind of thought! I think britney jean would've been a lot better, had the vocal editing been better or if the backing vocals included more of britney... Thanks for the reply!

It's common for artists to sing their own backing vocals. Britney did on He About to Loose Me, Don't Keep Me Waiting, Work Bitch, Tik Tik Boom, Til It's Gone and many more! And not sure for Britney, but I bet it's amazing to be one of her backing vocals

Someone list some of the songs where it's ALL britney in the Background...it's wierd now that I think about it, I feel like Britney has ALWAYS had different voices in her BG and it's kinda cool cause it's male and female sometimes...I feel like it all adds to her style
