Britney Jean was personal to her? Every song gave a small glimpse into her life. She really isn't gonna give too much away now after her meltdown but can you blame her? She has been through hell and back why would she give away too much? I think a lot of people over reacted about the album not being personal. To me I think I got to see a bit deeper into Britney's life.

And it is a shame the Britney fans want a personal album and turn their back on her as soon as we get it. And this myah Marie and crap is all speculation. Not one person ever said it was true. If you're a fan of someone there is no need to speculate on anything they do. Honestly.

honestly i dont really understand people who say Britney Jean isnt a personal album... Almost every song seems like it could represent something in her personal life

Exactly!!! It's personal to me. I don't think it's as personal as some fans wanted it to be though. I think there rather hear about her meltdown over and over again

The lyrics do sound personal, but it was the overall futuristic, processed sound of it that turned me off. So maybe that's a common dislike for those who don't like BJ. It didn't sound personal. I was expecting some piano ballads (played by Britney) and more showcasing of her voice against non-EDM/electro music.

The album is personal

if you look at her previous albums

ALMOST all of those songs are about sex or going out

Britney Jean has alot of songs about the other things in life

I love BritneyJean

Personal means other things than

Track 1: why I shaved my head

Track 2: how I feel about my kids right now (she did have that song)

Track 3: how adnan ghalib treated me

Track 4: Sam controlled me

Track 5: My conservatorship

Track 6: I cheated on JT

Track 7: then k fed cheated on me

Track 8: the illuminati control me

Track 9: I hope one day I can get out of the control I'm under

Track 10: why I hate my father... And my mama sometimes aswell

Track 11: how I felt when my Auntie died

Instead we got:

Track 1: Being alone

Track 2: party, being happy

Track 3: being cheated on

Track 4: finding it hard to say things and be completely in love after you've been hurt

Track 5: being sexy- something that She said she feels pressured to portray so it's very personal to her to portray that image

Track 6: dancing- 'if I couldnt dance, I'd be dead'

Track 7: no knowing what you've got til it's gone and you wish you could have it back as you now know it's better than being alone even if it had it down points

Track 8: being unable to take the passenger seat and let someone else control the relationship but you're afraid of being hurt so you're afraid to

Track 9: her relationship with her closest family member- her sister

Track 10: being happy after finding that one person when you weren't expecting it.

Track 11: her relationship with God

Track 12: not wanting to cry and wanting to be strong when leaving a relationship as you know in your heart it's the best decision

Track 13: being erasures by that one person everyday that means the most to you and not wanting them to lose their hold around you

Seems like her most personal album to me tbh

She did say it was personal and it is. Take a look:

Alien - Felling alone and alienated, but you're not alone (there are other people like this who are with you)

Work B**ch - Working to get what you want

Perfume - Marking your territory on someone so the other person knows it's your property

It Should be Easy (feat. will.i.am) - Love should be easy not hard

Tik Tik Boom (feat. T.I.) - :frenchy: We all know what this is about (sex)

Body Ache - Dancing till your body aches

Til It's Gone - You never know what you got till it's/their gone and out of your life

Passenger - Haveing someone take the wheel for once and having you just be the passenger (this is what we call wearing the pants in the relationship)

Chillin' With You (feat. Jamie Lynn) - Just chilling with family and having fun

Don't Cry - Last good-bye, but I don't want to see you be sad and you don't need to see me be sad so don't cry

Brightest Morning Star - Talks about God (or whatever you take it to be about)

Hold on Tight - Feeling safe with someone

Now That I Found You - Life is great now that I found you

Perfume (The Dreaming Mix) - Just like Perfume only remixed

Those are my interpretations on the songs, but if you look at them they are personal. Don't look at the instrumental and say oh this isn't personal. The lyrics are what you look at and then piece together what they actually mean. :)

Britney Jean is her most personal album :crying1: and it's amazing!!!
