Shonda Rhimes Wrote Crossroads... So...

Considering all the crazy, heart pounding shit she's come up with on Scandal:

The President killing cancer patients
The First Lady getting raped and having an affair (finally the girls get to have fun!)
The Vice President killing her closeted gay husband (and btw, a female VP!)
The President's gay chief of staff whoring out his husband AND letting a terrorist blow up a church
The President's son being murdered as revenge for an affair

I'm pretty sure homegirl could cook up something real spicy for Crossroads 2. We can assume homegirl was wearing her kid gloves when she wrote that.

Here's what I think could be a good plot for Crossroads 2:

Lucy, Kit and Mimi (Britney, Zoe and Taryn) get kidnapped by an old rival of Ben's (Anson) from jail. Lucy, now married to Ben, was the original target, but when she was captured, Kit and Mimi were with her. The girls, now grown and distant once again must work together to rekindle their friendship and escape, while on the outside, Ben goes on a rampage, delving into a dark underworld to reunite with his wife.

I think that plot definately has potential. I'm getting the female version of 'Hangover' feels.

I'm also getting the Crossroads feels where they're all mardy and irritated. Maybe it could only work as a 45 minute part in the middle of the film.

It could be cool if they're like locked up together and they're all arguing and blaming eachother for the shit they're in. Then they realise they're friendship and become friends again while they're locked up

To summarise:

-hangover meets sex and the city theme

-they start in their own life.

-The film starts with music fading in (like Crossroads 1. Can I say crossroads 1 yet?!!) and Brits rocking out somehow/somewhere. And we follow her current life for a few minutes. Then we follow each character for seperate minutes. Then they suddenly clash somehow in the street or One of the other girls find the box again (kit probably. As last time she was the one that needed convincing) then she finds Mimi. She's up for something. But Brits a bitch and needs convincing the most. She's moved on and above them all. Therefore the music at the start may be Fancy or something with sass while she's in her office. It might also be the commercials music in the background aswell

However they do finally do something but it ends up that Brit didn't want to do it cos everyone's looking for her atm and trying to kill her and Ben cos they're not as innocent as they seem. They've done some dirty shit.

Brit then is the bad guy instead of Mimi and Ben in Crossroads 1 and I think she'd like this idea as I doubt she wants to be the savior as per. She wants to be trouble.

So then they get locked up (Bridget Jones 2 style) and start blaming Brit and start arguing. Then they become friends again

Or forget about Ben and Brit together. Maybe that didn't happen. Ben comes to bail them out. (Like when Ross came to help everyone out when the car broke down but Rachel was refusing to get in the car. Anyway, so at first Brits like no. But obviously they have to go. Then they go out for a meal but Brits completely awkward and then she tells them about a secret about him. (Hint at the 'Im on a road trip with a killer') haha. But then someone dies. They go to their funeral and everything's sad. Cba with anymore atm. I'll come back and add more

That's actually what I was thinking. Since they're distant again, somehow the girls would reunite somewhere. The kidnappers, not wanting any witnesses, capture all three as they're arguing.

The first part would be showing how all three have grown and moved on with their lives, and then comes the reunion, then the kidnapping/Ben trying to find them. They escape by themselves as Ben finds where they were hidden, and he gets captured. Then Lucy comes back and fights the bad guy and the girls help her kill him before he kills her. LOL

Then they have some sort of cute heart-to-heart and they're all friends again. This time for good, because we'd have a flash-forward to the girls gathered around Ben's grave in like 50 years as old, wrinkly women with their arms linked in each others'.

the whole reason crossroads is enjoyable is because its campy fun. i dont think making something that dark would fit the characters at all.

Yeh I don't like the ending. It's kinda odd. But when you said my ideas I loved it we should be the script writers tbh. Shonda Rimes who?!!
