A total meh.. it's sad that the fanbase has to have an systematic apologetic discourse about how the album is personal and substantive when it's poorly produced, completely misdirected, and half-completed. Tbh it sounded dated on arrival. :lollipop: not saying there aren't songs on there that I like, but the only ones that sound like a complete idea are Don't Cry and Hold on Tight. Alien needs a bridge, Perfume needs one too, and NTIFY needs a fucking second verse--I mean, what kind of mess it this? :ohno: It's a shame too because those are all my fave songs on the record :crying2:

But on positives, I'm glad Hold on Tight was made for sure. Alien is great, Perfume has good vocals, Don't Cry is sonically pleasant, Work Bitch is iconic and gave us a great mv, and whenever I'm high in the car space cruisin, I listen to NTIFY and it brings a huge smile to my face :)

tbh i like the album.. wel yes and no, BJ has good tracks

  • Alien
  • Work bitch
  • Perfume
  • Till its gone
  • tik Tik Boom
  • passenger
  • don't cry
the other tracks are good specially NTIFY but it's cool but at the same time childish, i think the album is knda empty, there is no much exciment with the tracks, is not memorable, it's sometimes boring and very electronic for my taste will i am srsly fucked the album.. and sia vocals ugh if you leav britney jean alone is a good album but if you compare to other britney albums.. its kinda bad , i dont hate it i dont love it.. i like it a little bit.. but britney can do way much better

I agree with you 100%!

I definitely think Britney can do a lot better! Britney Jean as a whole felt kind of sloppy to me. The production wasn't the best IMO, and the album didn't have a cohesive feel to it. I feel like each song definitely could've been potentially great, but they lacked one thing or another. I feel Passenger should've been more stripped down... Perfume, while it showcases Britney's strong vocals, the concept is a little immature... Something a teen would write about. Everyone can agree that ISBE shouldn't have filtered Britney's vocals so heavily, and shouldn't have included will.i.am. BMS Is cute... Don't Cry is pretty good... Hold On Tight is nice... I think a MAJOR problem for me is all the messiness with the background vocals. It really turned me off having background vocals that sounded so similar to Britney's and that her voice didn't stand out in some parts of songs bc they were badly mixed with the backing vocals. One member said that it would be interesting to have a male background vocalist that complimented Britney's voice, which i kind of agree with. Wow my fingers got a work out from writing all this... Lol

Firstable -It's not her worst album (it's BOMT obviously)

Secondable - This album gives us some brilliant gems like Till It's Gone, Perfume, Tik Tik Boom and Work Bitch. It's still flop.i.am but it's a great songs tbh

:tbh: i hate the whistling in DC. If that wasn't in the song, I'd like it a lot more

I honestly really love it. I can see why some fans wouldn't like it, as it's a denature from the type of music she usually makes that fans generally love the most (Blackout, Femme Fatale,) and besides from a few production issues, I think it's a really solid album with some of the best songs she's ever recorded.

My favourites from Britney Jean:

Work Bitch

Perfume

Hold On Tight

Alien

Brightest Morning Star

Now That I Found You

Passenger

Don't Cry

I think there is too much electro where there shouldn't be electro. Like, why the fuck they put that messy sound on the Til it's gone chorus ? It would have been an a-ma-zing song without it now because of i don't really like it. Same with Chilling with you , not that it's an amazing song but the electro wasn't needed in that song.

Then her voice is also unrecognizable on some songs. I don't understand why they always need to retouch her voice, or why she can't just choose some songs that she actually can sing without having to sing with an unnatural tone or having to edit her voice because she doesn't have the voice for it in the first place. I just can't understand.

Anyway, the album is a little boring imo, there are no memorable songs, i only really like Don't cry and Hold on tight, these are the ones for which i'm glad BJ was released, but for the rest.. meh.
