In the earlier performances of her career, Britney and her team used to pre-record tracks for her tours and performances (ie. Onyx) to make it sound different than the CD and at least a little live. I know that there's no point in trying to convince people that she's singing live anymore, but it was always nice to have a performance that sounded a little different than the CD. Does anyone know why they stopped? Is it just too time consuming for Britney now that she has a family?

I'm guessing it's too time consuming, but it's not like Britney works a nine-to-five and can't have easy access to a studio (of course she could be very busy, idk). Although there are some pre-recorded vocals in POM (right?). Just not for the songs where she still sounds 17.

I think she knows that all people know she lipsyncs, so pretending to sing live doesn't make sense anymore.

She had a few prerecords on FFT :D

It's probably time consuming just because now and days no artist records the songs in full they do it by parts so that's probably what they have to do and make a little bit different instrumental too :) I also believe Britney does sing live, but they turn her mic down just so it seems she lip syncs :mhm:
