Before this clip, Stephanie tells her dad that she is tired of dancing; she doesn't want to go to dance camp for the summer because it has become work and it's not fun anymore; she missed a baby shower and never gets to play with her friends anymore. She mentioned that she is tired of performing on Broadway too- like Brit. She was afraid to tell her father that she wanted to quit because she knew all that he had to sacrifice for her. Her dad totally understood and told her that it's great to have a dream and it's okay to change her dream.

 

With Britney it was gymnastics camp and broadway and then after she got sick of it/when it became a chore, she moved onto different things and that is when she discovered she could sing- but this scene gave me Britney tease- not only because of the situation but because Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) was the same age as Britney at the same time period. Hahaa- so they're the same age
