Even if this EP shit is true (which I highly fucking doubt) it might not be "The Original Doll 2.0" like a lot of you want.

 

It could easily be more songs about motherhood and Jesus. And while I love BMS and MB, I don't feel like getting 5-7 songs about the same ish.

It could be all religious and stuff without being Britney Jean-ish. To me, Britney Jean means electronic sound. She could turn around and do Mona Lisa 2.0 with some Gregorian chanting while praising Jesus and her boys.

Well if you want personal songs they will be about what her life is currently. BJ has a lot of themes. I don't get why going at Jesus and Motherhood. Themes can be placed on any type of music. Original Doll's intrinsic value is it was going to be vocally raw and using real instruments. I think it would have went the way of the Chaotic EP. Meaning a bit less Real but still with themes from her life since her last record. Which are themes the fan base lust after. Her Life isn't necessarily those themes any more even if the fan base still sees Britney as an Over protected even a trapped Kitten.  When seemingly Britney is a woman who has found security in normality. Even if it's just illusion (like how every friend in Brit's life is bought for her by her dad...)

 

Britney Jean main issue is that it has rushed production. Certain songs seem like 2 or more songs combined (Chillin with you and NTIFY), songs seemingly belonging on a Will i am album (though ISBE is still great imo) and songs that had either weird errors (Alien's glitch) Vocal oddity and songs that seem like a remix(TIG). 

 

And Ep can be released in place of a 3rd Remix album or another Greatest hits (which were used the last 2 eras). Have 3 new songs and then add Alien, Hold on tight and TTB. Even if she's not on RCA any more, Britney should be able to have her songs since she is co writer and she'll probably still have some Sony Catalog distribution.

 

Getring the production right is key for the quality of an Ep and/or album 9. Not Poo Pooing subjects and themes that may or may not be what currentney wants to sing about...

I'm not "poo pooing" anything. I'm stating facts. Everyone's expecting TOMH and Rebellion type tracks and considering the source material for BJ, they might not get that. If we're even getting an EP, which no one has confirmed but this site based on circumstantial evidence.

I don't think we'll ever get a Mona Lisa kind of sound again. At least not for this EP (if it's true). I think it's gonna be very very Britney Jean-ish.

Again, I don't even know if that's true this whole story about the EP. What I've learned this era is that we don't have to listen to those words: "have to wait and see" because at the end we won't see anything good, or maybe some wigs and that's it. It's even better to expect the worst, so if at the end we get something ok, it will look amazing, and if we get nothing, will be better than getting something bad.

I don't think that Britney has right now the inspiration she used to have back in the Original Doll days. And I don't think she'll have it again in a long time. So it's up to the producers and writers, and if they're the same that worked for BJ, even if they're talking about new music, I think they will be still too influenced by, well, the same influences they had back in the BJ sessions. Maybe they'll even use some rejected ideas that they had then and just polish them.

Anyway, I'm not that excited about this even if it's true. I mean, yeah, I always want more of Britney, but I still can't get over the fact that Britney Jean only had 2 singles, when they could have take so much advantage of this album for this residency. It's like trying to start a new project when you didn't even finish properly the previous one, not even fought for it.

I get that fans want Britney to scream for her Freedom since they feel she's super trapped and that is why we have gotten FF and BJ. There is nothing you can do about them. They hear "personal" and want anti Conservatorship songs and dark songs that imply her life is hell. But then again they are the ones who heard sex songs on FF and thought Britney was being forced to sing sex song by her dad to make money.They were probably the ones who complained that ITZ was mostly about sex when sex was what broke up Soulmates JustinNey. Or the ones who complained that Britney was just a Crossroads soundtrack in disguised. They complain no matter what. It sucks but it's what Britney has had to deal with her whole career. 

 

And TOMH/Breathe on me fans want songs in that slow sexy intimate style. That isn't really about theme though. Britney Jean still had sex songs. Some fans just didn't like Body ache and TTB.
