It's weird but I feel like I'm the only fan with a personal connection with Britney Jean and listen to it still because of that. Because:

Alien- I have alienated myself before so I know what it feels like to feel like an alien but have one person make you feel like you're not alone

Work bitch- it's always been my motto. You want something you better work for it.

Perfume- I have jealously problems. So I would want anyone to smell my scent and know that the person I'm dating is taken.

It should be easy- just the way I feel. Love it should be easy it should never be complicated

Tik tik boom- okay come on who hasn't had sex before???

Body ache- anything you love to do you'll be willing to do it till your body aches. Britney on this matter is dancing.

Passenger- letting God take the wheel of your life.

Chillen with you- a song I can play with my family and those who I feel chill with. Like a perfect hang out song.

Don't cry- I mean honestly who would want to see the person the loved cry when they break up with them?

I don't hate Britney Jean it's just not my go-to Britney album. Love your insight. I can relate to Alien, Chillin' With You and Passenger. Don't Cry was my first favorite song from Britney Jean even though I can't relate.

It's interesting how you can relate to each song. In my case, I don't feel connected to any of them, personally. But I've always been that "weird" because I don't feel the need to connect with the lyrics of the songs in order to like them tumblr_n3pzm2LeeR1r36bj2o7_75sq.gif. And not just Britney's but in general. My friends always tell me like, oh this song is good, or is not, just because of the lyrics. I mean, it's ok if the song has a meaning for the singer or we feel identified with them, but for me is the least important. It doesn't matter if the lyrics are the best poetry out there if it sounds like shit. So for me it's more important the whole product, the music, the instruments, the rythm, the voice, the tempo, etc. The lyrics, yeah, but just because of the sound they add, the armony, the rythm they make. Just that. For me.

I personally like the vibe of Britney Jean. I do agree is nothing edgier or trend-setting, but I think it's good. I don't care if I can't relate to Alien or Now That I Found You, or Passenger, or any of them. I like them, and I think they're good. tumblr_n3n4gvKfh81r36bj2o3_75sq.gif

And I'm sure you're not the only one that feels connected to some of the songs, it's just that most of the haters of this album were expecting a Blackout 2.0.  :oya:

I can identify with all of them but atm, mostly these three

Alien- I alienate myself sometimes to people I think hurt me when in fact, I'm just way too sensitive

Work bitch- I work 6 days a week and I'm 17

BMS- I believe in God and have full faith that one day it'll be my time to go and live in a place where objects are immaterial and it is about your spirit and happiness
