For her debut VMA performance (on September 9,1999), Brit got to perform a BOMT remix which was then accompanied an N'Sync performance. Britney was also nominated for Best Female Video and Best Choreography. Though the performance had little cultural impact at the time it still holds a special place in our hearts as the performance to start it all and to establish brit as the VMA queen. I liked this performance, but I think Britney (along with her dancers) should have worn a sexy modified cheerleading outfit.  Her outfit looks great, don't get me wrong, but just didn't go along with the theme.
