I think it's because she's one of the only "old school" divas that is still relevant. Pop music right now is ruled by the newer generations of artists (Rihanna, Katy Perry, etc). Beyonce and Britney are kind of the only pop stars from the 90's that are still popular so...

I actually know a legit reason. Beyonce's fans are usually a bunch of very insecure people who live their lives and ambitions THROUGH beyonce. While Britney fans actually have lives, we bow down to brit and we follow her footsteps, she showed us and taught us how to fight and make it through life. Also britney's fans are usually very comfortable in their skin and are pretty hot from what i ve seen at least. So considering how low selfesteem beyonces fans have, they have no other option but to be online 24/7 , live their sad lonely lives through their idol and bash Britney who is a recognized most influental and most female in the music industry(after Madonna) . Thats just my opinion..
