I think there are a lot of things we don't know. But in my opinion, it'll have to depend on a few things.

I think it was necessary at first but over the years, I'm not so sure. Is her mental illness, whatever it is, going to make it hard to secure a job in the future? Does the conservatorship help with that and so on...

Thoughts?

I think people would be worried about booking her without a garantee (in this case, the conservatorship). They would be worried about her freaking out or not even do her job.

Idk, she seems in a pretty happy place right now, she doesnt seem mentally ill and she seems pretty capable of taking care of herself and her kids, I think it is time for ccship to be over indeed, and I have this rly strong feeling it will soon :)

I think it might be over already (this year?) but they probably don't want to make buzz about it...

Just look at how happy she is rn. She goes out with friends all the time, took some control over her social media accounts (posts different stuff whenever she wants). She uses her iPhone and her Galaxy whenever she wants, too. We've seen  her go out and about without bodyguards, etc.

All of this wouldn't have been the case if she was in a cs.  :bomt:

Have you ever seen her alone?  Does she not always have a bodyguard or David with her at all times?  She is very protected.

I wish we knew what was going on.  Does someone need to step into rescue her or is she very sick?

The argument about insurance does not hold much weight when Lohan can still get jobs.

She does not have custody of her kids, because she does not have custody of herself.  I wonder if she is ever alone with them without a monitor?

I hope she is treated well and getting proper medical care.

But has Lindsay been getting good projects recently? Britney tours and Vegas are huge investments. And I'm guessing whatever Britney has is a bit worse than what Lindsay has,

Pretty sure there's been candids of her out by herself.

And it's really none of our business as to what's going on. She seems to be in a much happier place these days, and for all we know, there could very well be a good reason for why it's still in place.

Britney is under Two Conservatorships.

Britney’s Conservatorships

Conservatorship of the Estate: When someone needs help managing finances, the court appoints a conservator of the estate. The conservator of the estate will take on tasks such as locating and taking control of assets, managing the assets, paying bills, making investments, collecting income, protecting the assets, and accounting regularly to the court. Some Conservatee’s are unable to manage their finances, but still like to be out in the world; with court approval, the conservator can give the Conservatee pocket money to spend, so for example the Conservatee can still go out for coffee with friends or go shopping for small items.

Conservatorship of the Person: When someone needs help managing daily needs, the court appoints a conservator of the person. The conservator of the person will typically arrange for the Conservatee’s care and protection, decide where the Conservatee will live, and make decisions about personal matters such as food, clothing, recreation, transportation, and medical care. For some Conservatee’s, the question of where they live can be critical. Sometimes the Conservatee can live at home with the help of an aide; other times the Conservatee will benefit from the increased social stimulation and safety features of a care facility.

why would a conservatorship act as a guarantee for insurance and contracts? a conservatorship would not prevent her from breaking commitments and having a mental breakdown. unless the conservatorship means you can actually physically force someone to do work if they are unable to do work. all businesses would worry about would be if they were able to recoup their losses if she doesn't carry out contractual obligations. i sure  her lawyers could make up a contract  with certain clauses that would placate insurance companies fears of her not fulfilling her contractual obligations. just because they have fears that she is high risk for insurance purposes doesn't mean she has to be under conservatorship.  they could come up with some monetary agreement so the insurance company would not be fully responsible for all the loses  of non fulfilment of the contractual duties. also can insurance companies discriminate against people if they have mental illness .surely since she has been fulfilling her work commitments perfectly fine since 2008 with out any insurance claims she would have some sort of no claims bonus so the insurance required would have dropped in price. the conservatorship  of britney the person should not have lasted more than a couple of weeks. why would they not have released her from it i get the feeling that they wanted it for longer for her to come around to their way of thinking and to behave like a good girl and do as she is told. it all seems very controlling and wrong.

Tbh, I think what we have to realise is that any manager/agent etc would love to have their artists under such a conservatorship to make them more reliable and with less of a voice. However, the only difference is that they had a good reason to put Brit under one and would've had so much motivation to do so as they were scared. Money wasn't coming in, they turned to Britney and she couldn't be arsed anymore. So they had to make her be arsed.

We also have to realise that it's a lot more tough to get rid of such a thing and provide reasons for now wanting to take it off when the same people wanted to put it in place just 6 years ago. In the court 6 years is not very long. It's also more tough cos there's not as much evidence to prove what's more than normal. It's easier to see when they're not 'normal', as to get rid of such a conservatorship, the person would have to be a nun, logically.

But, yes I think it's about time. But brit seems happy. And as long as she's okay with it and happy with her life, that's all we should care about :)

I think is about damn time that shit is over.

We don't really know whats going on and the real reasons behind that (because her team extended it because they wanted to, not because the judge order it) but i think she looks happy and healthy and for an artist she needs to be in control of her finances and her projects :crying1:. Its a little bit weird that she has the legal control of a 15 year old.

But her team probably know whats best for her and im sure they are doing it for a good reason.
