I wouldn't give the second place to Nicki Minaj without a sidenote...That's more of a parasitic success and nothing to be proud of...

It's all hype over substance nowadays. Getting hit singles and #1 albums today doesn't compare to selling millions of albums years ago. MJ, Britney, and many more did that. And the most talented people today are being overshadowed by celebs with the most twitter followers.
