BRITNEY SPEARS AND THE VMAS

 

Even solemnly ignoring her latest releases, MTV continues drinking fountain that one day yielded much gold to them. From the pinnacle of success to the height of madness, Britney Spears has always been at the Video Music Awards. Every year, the question of the presence of the singer at the awards is the main focus of the vehicles. Especially ahead when the music station is an avid audience.

 

Last week, she was mentioned in a text from E! News, which fueled rumors that she would attend the awards and she also appeared in a commercial of the MTV Video Music Awards 2014, performing "I'm A Slave 4 U" in the 2001 VMAs.

 

The truth is that Britney Spears is one of, if not the biggest name of the award. Since his first appearance there in 1999, along with N Sync,her presence was always prominent. The years when she was out - in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2009, 2010, 2012 and 2013 - won world headlines by the controversial artists who were there.

 

1999 - The first performance

The first time you never forget. Britney was cute in her first performance with 'N Sync "... Baby One More Time" and "Tearin' Up My Heart".

 

2000 - Oops, She did it again

This time without sharing the spotlight with anyone, Britney Spears ripped off her clothes and won the world with the presentation of "(I Can not Get No) Satisfaction" and "Oops! ... I Did It Again ".

 

2001 - Trapped in the cage

Animals, and lots of dancing. Britney Spears exploded with the VMA performance of "I'm Slave 4 U", flagship of the album "Britney". The presentation with the snake is remembered even today!

 

2002 - The King and The Princess

Without any presentations! In 2002, Spears appeared in the award only to honor, in her words, "my friend, the King of Pop, Michael Jackson."

 

2003 - The Princess and The Queen

One of the greatest moments in pop culture history happened at the VMA 2003. The kiss between Britney Spears and Madonna in the notorious performance of "Like a Virgin / Hollywood" and the reaction of JT stole the spotlight all night!

 

2007 - The Iconic Disaster

Four years later, Britney Spears returned to the stage of the VMAs, but not in good shape. The performance of "Gimme More" the flagship of "Blackout", opened the VMAs in 2007 and caused... a lot!

 

2008 - The grand return

To show that she had given a comeback, Britney appeared at the opening of VMA 2008 and won all categories in which she was stated: Video of the Year, Female Video and Pop Video, all with "Piece Of Me". Were the first Astronauts Silver of her career!

 

2011 - Recognizing a Legacy

The last time she was seen at the VMAs, Britney Spears took the stage to receive from the hand of Lady Gaga, a tribute for his contribution to the industry. There was an attempted kiss between Spears and the Mother Monster.

While we live in an era of few important names in the music industry, MTV tries to gain relevance with these momentary success artists. The audience can even be great, but what about the big show that the VMA was accustomed to deliver to us? It's like giving chocolate to us all your life and suddenly offered us another candy.

 

Britney Spears is rather lazy. Lives comfortably with her performances in Vegas, did not bother with the failure of her last album and she not promoted it out of the city of Elvis. But her name still worth a lot and MTV is aware of it. Just associate it to anything involving the award and you will see that it will take stratospheric proportions.

 

While not acknowledging what she did since "Femme Fatale", as "Scream & Shout" and "Britney Jean" were solemnly ignored by the broadcaster, MTV continues to drink from the chicken that one day has given them golden eggs. Maybe they decide to recognize it, in the golden days, when she is gone.

 

Finally, what is a wrong done hologram, for the artist who they say that doesn't move, but all they continue to consume everything that she produces?
