When she got popular only 5 years ago... Whereas Britney, 16 years ago became instantly popular, (but had a quite big bump 2004-2007... But instantly gained back again with the hair cut thing. Iconic means, 1999,2000,2001,2003,2007 (vmaney years omg just noticed ) + Perry doesn't have a lot of breakup songs, like Demi and Taylor have (and that is the reason for their huge fan base)
