Fans who say " I was gong to shoot myself but Britney Spears saved me" are (and I'll say this in the nicest way possible) retarded.  Unless she flew into your house and knocked the gun out of your hand, I could see why you say that.  But in reality, Adam she tweets, and performs halfheartedly in front of crowds who paid thousands to see her.  Also, some of you are acting like she's only in it for the fans.  Let me break it down for you:  she is an artist who gains MILLIONS each year.

I still love her though. :)  She seems nice, I think.

Well she didn't save me, but she helped me through a rough time where I admitted myself into the hospital for anxiety, depression and an eating disorder while with my abusive ex. She made me feel better about it because I know she went through it and came out on top.

And I was able to get through it all & now have a great bf who is my best friend, I have a job at a cable company and now I have a 2 bedroom apt, which the one room is basically a Britney room.

well I was a mess in 2007 like Britney,, I was all crazy I suffered from mental disorder e.t.c because of the bullying from other people. she taught me to be fearless... to look good for yourself and not for others..

Well I have been down for a few years up and down and felt lonely and everytime, I listen to lucky or everytime and it just takes me to this place. And I used to, when I was upset or angry, if just go straight upstairs to my room and dance for like 30 minutes to an hour.

But also, more jokingly, she's really helped my voice have more of a range. I used to be flat. But since I stanned for her, she's really helped me widen my range cos I want to be a singer/entertainer some day :)

Music is my main outlet for when I'm at my worst, best, in between, whatever. So Britney definitely contributes to that.

However, I won't go so far that it's Britney who has helped me out of the hardest situations. That was done by me, myself, and I. Tbh, if I am feeling low and depressed, I don't specifically think of Britney or any singer/band for that matter. Good on someone who didn't commit suicide bc of Brit, but I'm a bit like  to those claims as well.

Her music makes me happy, tho.

Well, Blackout & Circus have formed a weird timeline with my life as of late. When I went off the deep end with partying actually every night and drugs and sex, Blackout was literally my album. I'd pregame to it, I'd run da town to it, it was a soundtrack to a downward spiral that was really instantly gratifying but most times excessively regrettable.

Now that I've stopped smoking cigarettes, stopped drinking, and stopped partying (tho y'all know I'm always down for a bowl with friends zKL020C.gif ), I've been listening to Circus a lot. I even made a thread a while back about how I've finally come to appreciate it as an album, and I'm kinda in this HBIC state of mind again that I comfortably inhabitated prior to my existential crisis. I used to be pretty FF before: pretty glossed over, nothing risky, just pumping out success after success. Now, I kinda see that Circus is a bit betta than FF: on paper, I've got my low points and misses, but goddamn are my heights so iconically worth it now

Basically, bow betches before moi :bomt:

You sound super ignorant. She didn't "save" me per se, but she definitely helped me through a really tough time in my life. In 2007 my dad had a stroke and after it my family started to, literally, fall apart. I learned so many dark secrets about my parents, it really took a huge toll on my life. I went from being a very outgoing person to being very shy and secluded. It all came to a head when my dad was holding a pistol to his head threatening to shoot himself in front of my mom and I. Through it all, Britney's music offered me a much needed escape when I needed it the most. If my parents were ever fighting or I just had a bad day, I could listen to one of her albums and I'd instantly feel better. It also really helped when Britney released Blackout. It just seemed ironic to me that that was the most horrid time in her career and it was the worst time in my life, and she released an album.

So as I said, she didn't save me, but she helped me cope with really crazy problems in my life.

uhhh damn you are super ignorant. they dont mean she literally saved them like shes wonder woman, they mean her music or performances or whatever HELPED them deal, that she helped distract them during those moments where they were upset and thinking of harming themselves. like, jesus.

and what does her making money have to do with any of this... like...  :zoomzoom:

Oh no, don't even try to say that because if u dont what people are talking about is better that you shout you mouth, when people say that they try to tell that they see how Britney fight for her life and now she's okay, and then they say "why i cant do that?" and they fight the hardest possible

Are you serious? People who say that OBVIOUSLY don't mean it that literally. When they say she saved me, they mean she was an outlet that allowed them to feel better when they were going through rough times. For example, the boy who gave that letter to britney didn't say she "saved" him from suicide by literally talking to him, and telling him not to do it. His love for her, and the way she makes him feel saved him from making the choice. Don't go calling people retarded when you are unaware of what they mean. If he didn't feel the way he did about Britney, who knows if he would be here today. So saying she saved him, makes sense. Especially if she was the only thing to make him smile when he was at his lowest.
