I was slayed at first by Bey's performance at first. Then I rewatched and I realized she relied on production just as heavily as Currentney to carry the performance Britney carried her iconic performances on her own. There was production, but the most memorable parts were HERS and hers alone.

Beyawnsay will forever be looked at as plan B in my book as far as black females go...I wish Aaliyah had lived so beywolf would have stayed her ass singin harmonies with those other tone deaf heffas...Aaliyah was destined to be this generations Janet to Britney's this generation Madonna

hell to the yes she deserves more she has brought in viewer-ship to the vmas for years and kept it culturally relevant and exciting. i don't think though she should have gotten so much awards the year she did the promotional piece with russell brand. i know they kind of insulted her the year before and didn't really care about her welfare but she didn't need all those pity awards because piece of me was not her best video really. but maybe the competition was not that great that year so that might explain it. but she deserves dozens in my opinion on her own merit.
